“Crystalocum Ostendere” (Behind the Scene - S01E02 “Flower Power”)

Third part of episode 2 "Flower Power” behind the scenes.

We continue the investigation with a twist : Rosie is stolen by a monster, and so is Iris’ pendant. This allows Auriana to introduce one of the major 3-princesses spell of the show : the Crystalocum Ostendere. 

Honestly, this is a spell we grow to hate little by little. Even though it gave us the opportunity to make a beautiful (and partially reused) scene, it would also prove to be an efficient plot-killer as the princesses didn’t have to investigate anymore : they would have the answer right away. So we had to be careful with it, giving hints but not the solution, or if needed prevent it to even work ! (“Oh no ! Mephisto and Praxina are magically hidden !” sort of things). 

Conclusion : don’t make your character always overpowered, most of the time it will ruin your story. It can seem obvious but, well, if it really was, we wouldn’t have to fix it afterward, would we ? 

And as always with storyboard shots, you can try to find what made its way to the final episode, and what was changed / removed. ;)
