The small screen is not enough for Lee Daniels. Daniels has signed on to produce indie lesbian love story, Pimp, starring Keke Palmer as Wednesday who is left to care for her mother a sex worker and girlfriend, Nikki, who becomes a sex worker as well. Wednesday serving as her pimp.

We’re Head Over Heels for Peppermint in her Broadway Bound Debut

Peppermint will is starring in jukebox musical, Head Over Heels, feature the music of the Go-Go’s as Pythio,  the nonbinary Oracle of Delphi.

A modern adaptation of Sir Philip Sidney’s Elizabethan romp Arcadia, an ancient Greek royal family cursed by the oracle’s (Peppermint) prophecies.

LGBT Pride House at World Cup in Defiance of Russia’s Anti-LGBT Oppression

Russian LGBT leaders will set up the Pride House in St. Petersburg during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The Pride House will be organized with international support, but not support from the Russian government. 

Russia has repeatedly been in the news for its “gay propaganda” laws banning  “nontraditional relationships” to minors and anti-LGBT violence that goes un-investigated. Russia warned LGBT fans, last year, it was not safe for same-sex couples to hold hands in public.

’Where are you people?’ was what Noor, a lesbian from Sudan, wrote in a Facebook group with many Sudanese women who were gay as a members. Noor’s story one of more than several profiled in a new video by Human Rights Watch.

Some of the participants speaking with their face’s obscured as they detail the stigmatization, physical danger, and harassment they experienced. However, there is hope Dalia, a lesbian from Egypt, expresses talking about her father’s change of heart. “But he transformed from hateful to accepting and tolerant.”

Logo will exclusively air the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles. Ricky Martin fresh off his performance playing Gianni Versace’s longtime lover, Antonio D’Amico in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story will be a special guest at the show honoring LGBT Excellence and promotion of LGBT equality in media.

Christine Hallquist, former CEO, enters Vermont Gubernatorial Race
