“Do not kill the part of you that is cringe, kill the part that cringes” - Someone, I forget who.

Just noticed you can make a pinned post, so figured I’d make a quick intro so any of you who drop by can work out what I’m about! I’ll edit this in the future as things shift, but they shouldn’t shift too much.

Firstly, Fandoms/fixations of mine you might want to know:

- Nintendo, mainly Zelda and Pikmin right now but others might catch my interest from time to time

  • Magic: The Gathering, I love card games but this one most of all.
  • Writing/World Building
  • GMing for TTRPGs
  • Tanks
  • Character design in Heroforge
  • Coffee

Beyond that, just a quick rundown of who I am: I’m a nonbinary poly pan person who’s main pronouns are they/them but feel free to be creative (just preferably don’t use he/him) - I haven’t really tried any others out enough to know how they’d feel. I’m always happy to talk to new folks so feel free to send me a message if you like my vibes.

I’ll try my best to tag my posts/reblogs appropriately but if something slips through the cracks just let me know.

So I was trawling through the pikmin trailer frame by frame and almost missed this! It's a white pikmin sprout! There's white pikmin in the game! So glad I went through the trailer with a fine tooth comb or I might've missed it. (I circled it, it's pretty hard to make out otherwise)

to anyone who missed it:

blorbo - a favourite character

glup shitto - star wars names are fucking nonesense

eeby deeby - youre going to hell

plinko horse - a horse that was stuck in a plinko board

scrimblo bimblo - super smash bro fans can be very angry when characters aren't in a game

Me, so I can view the original meme:

People keep tagging this as educational and I don't know what to do or think about that.

Glossary of Terms

I don’t know if I should be amused or distressed by the realization that someday this post will probably be useful to linguists.

“Perhaps you have forgotten. That’s one of the great problems of our modern world, you know. Forgetting. The victim never forgets. Ask an Irishman what the English did to him in 1920 and he’ll tell you the day of the month and the time and the name of every man they killed. Ask an Iranian what the English did to him in 1953 and he’ll tell you. His child will tell you. His grandchild will tell you. And when he has one, his great-grandchild will tell you too. But ask an Englishman—” He flung up his hands in mock ignorance. “If he ever knew, he has forgotten. ‘Move on!’ you tell us. ‘Move on! Forget what we’ve done to you. Tomorrow’s another day!’ But it isn’t, Mr. Brue.” He still had Brue’s hand. “Tomorrow was created yesterday, you see. That is the point I was making to you. And by the day before yesterday, too. To ignore history is to ignore the wolf at the door.”

John le Carré has not, at any point, been fucking around.

Honestly every time this thread just makes me laugh. And new additions…excellent.

stop shaming people for being passionate about the things that they love. stop mocking people for having unusual interests. like, honestly, i'm so tired of feeling embarrassed for being "too much". if being too much means having deep interests that fill my life with romanticism and excitement, then let me be!!! i'd much rather listen to anyone ranting about their latest obsession with 16th century swords than have a boring ordinary conversation with those who shame passionate people
