You can get wine for $3/bottle at Aldi. It's shit but it's cheap as dirt. Any other booze is criminally expensive, especially spirits, but notably beer. For a people famed for hooning piss they sure are getting fucking fleeced on it.
As for the cigarettes, find a tobacconist. There's like 8 on the main street by my house. They'll sell you illegal chinese cigarettes for $18 a pack. Still not cheap but much better than normal price
