The most recent PlayStation exclusive game is one of the best that the system has to offer. I can’t get over how insanely beautiful this game really looks. This is hands down the best looking open world game I’ve played, and there are so many times where I just have to stop and take in the environments. The colors are vibrant and allow each area to be distinct. As of right now I’m still going through the game’s story, but I’ve enjoyed Jin Sakai’s tale of revenge and redemption. It’s ripped straight from an Akira Kurosawa film, and I love the various homages that Sucker Punch pays to Japanese cinema. The sword fighting mechanics are so fun to use, and I love the satisfying feeling of taking on dozens of enemies by yourself and coming out victorious. This game absolutely nails it’s ambiance, characters, and combat. It’s going to be hard to go back to other open world games that don’t have the amount of polish that this one has.
