a pang of silence as his eyes suddenly widen, realising what he had just said.
both he and peter turn to sirius, dreadfully waiting on the inevitable pun. sirius sits with his arms crossed and eyes closed, ready to speak.

three heads turn at the same time towards the source of that voice: remus lupin absentmindedly scribbling in his charms textbook.

Remus being alone in the dorm crying himself to sleep because he feels so unworthy and that no one is ever going to love him, meanwhile downstairs Sirius is halfway through a three-hour rant to James about all things perfect and wonderful about Remus Lupin and how he should just bury his feelings because as if someone as amazing as Remus could ever like him back.
