Right so this lady was smart, if you’re ever in a sedan-style trunk there’s a little pull tab that you can use to get yourself out that is STANDARD in cars built after 2001. It’s the law just like headlights and seatbelts.
if you are in an SUV style vehicle or newer model car you may be able to find the automatic trunk release wire, pull on it, it will pop the trunk
if you can’t find any of that stuff,look for the brake light housing. You will need to pull back the trunk carpeting and feel about. It’s probably bolted in, but some careful wiggling will dislodge it. If people see a goddamn arm waving out of a hole in a car while they poke along I-95 they likely will do something about it

Please help my friend Haley’s Cat
My friend Haley is an absolute angel. She always takes in unwanted or rehomed animals and gives them the best care and welcomes them as family in her own home. She is an amazing animal mom and something devastating happened to her cat, Eevee. She will need extensive medical care after this accident and I am praying we can get this around so she can get the financial help she needs. Haley recently lost one of her dear gargoyle geckos and I would hate to see her lose her sweet cat as well. Please spread this around if you can.
“ Earlier today 5/28/18 we were moving furniture to the dumpster, during which we heard a cry and hadn’t realized until too late, my 6 year old cat, Eevee was stuck up inside it. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, her paw pads are deattached and her leg is ripped open exposing broken bones and tendons, upon further look they discovered low white blood cell count and internal bruising and holes. She is undergoing her first surgery tonight but it will be a tough battle with many more to come facing amputation as well. She’s always been a fighter and I want to keep fighting with her, while accidents happen I feel horribly guilty for this incident and want to do what I can to help make things right for her and give her the best life she deserves. She’s not ready to give up and neither am I, any help at all is grately appreciated. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. “

Update: Just got an update from the hospital
Her right leg has no tendons left and will need to be amputated, her left leg is too soon to tell if its able to save
She finishing up surgery now, making sure she doesn’t get an infection is going to be the most crucial part of the process. Good thoughts for eevee please
Almost 11,000 critically endangered radiated tortoises were recently discovered being held illegally in a home in Madagascar. They are now being safely housed at SOPTOM’s Tortoise Village, but they are desperately in need of funding for medical supplies and the construction of quarantine enclosures for so many ill tortoises.
These tortoises were living in their own filth without food, water, or light and many are in horrible condition. Hundreds of these critically endangered animals were already dead by the time they were rescued.
If anyone is willing to donate or spread this around I would be immensely grateful. The Tortoise Conservancy, Global Wildlife Conservation, and Andrew Sabin Family Foundation all currently matching all donations!
Signal boosting this again with some pictures of these gorgeous, rare tortoises. Radiated tortoises face an almost unimaginable poaching threat, being captured for their shells, meat, and to be sold in the illegal pet trade.
In 2010 the WWF found that 1,000 tortoises were being illegally poached in Madagascar every week.
The almost 11,000 poached tortoises were discovered on April 20th, 2018 and since then hundreds of them have already died of dehydration or severe infection due to the deplorable conditions they were being kept in.
The world cannot afford to lose many more of these beautiful creatures. If you’re able to spare some money donations are sorely appreciated! Treating so many tortoises in critical condition is a tremendous strain on any organization’s resources and SOPTOM can use all the help it can get!
