Does anyone have an update on where things are at with the writers strike? It's disappeared from my various feeds and algorithms.
My religion is kevin offering to watch neil so he can drink on thanksgiving. In french. And then nicky going "omg neil is making the face kevin can be nice?????!?!??!" Which is hilarious because it implies that Neil really isn't as stone cold as he thinks, and he basically canonically reacts like a deer in headlights whenever someone does ANYTHING remotely nice for him.

when neil was going to save andrew at the hemmick's house, he knew exactly what kind of wood the door was, and how easy it would be to break through. that's what kind of guy he is. neil doesn't win fights, but he is damn good at a getaway. this is a really good example about how all of neil's knowledge is really selective because of his upbringing. we need more survivalist neil because he shows all these traits in the books, another example is when he hitchhiked from columbia to palmetto. please stop ignoring this because i want to see batshit insane neil on the run fics right now thx

bc he would fit spider mans “im fine let me go save everyone w a gaping wound on my side” but hed also fit deadpools attitude and “sorry cant kill me” bc people have tried and neil is just immortal at this point.

Head cannon that if Seth had had a funeral, Andrew would have been withdrawing from his meds and passed out asleep with his head back on the pew.
Headcannon that Andrew reads before he falls asleep so Neil winds up going to sleep with the light on every night to watch Andrew. And Andrew is aware this is bad for Neil’s eyes so for awhile he would cover Neil’s eyes with blankets once he fully fell asleep but then eventually he just bought a silk eye mask that he forced onto Neil’s head while he was slept.
In my head I imagine that Neil isn’t particularly good at drawing, but he enjoys doodling to pass the time. Somehow him and Andrew both come to the conclusion that Andrew doesn’t mind the feeling of pen tracing along the skin of his upper arms and the palm of his hand. When Neil is feeling fidgety and restless, this calms his anxieties’ need for closeness and doesn’t make Andrew feel particularly vulnerable so he allows it, and finds himself even enjoying looking down at his arms during the day and seeing something on himself that was indistinguishably made by Neil. Little rackets, stars, squiggly lines, even his name spelled out in Small crooked Russian letters that remind both Andrew and him that Neil is a real and tangible being. It helps Andrew ground himself when he feels the sickening anger swell in his chest throughout the day or the tragic emptiness, or the guttural feeling of strong hands holding him down that he can’t quite get out of his mind.
Head cannon that considering neil and Andrew are strange people under strange circumstances, they obviously don’t “cuddle” like a normal couple would. Not that neil doesn’t more often than not fall asleep with Andrew wrapped around him, but like on an everyday daily basis i think it would be more unconventional. Like I can imagine neil taking a nap face up on the couch with his head next to Andrews leg and Andrew decides to rest his full hand over Neil’s face. Like not even over a cheek just his full hand street he’s over Neil’s face bc one it’s comfortable and two he can feel neil breathing and also touch his scars. I can also see Andrew playing video games on the couch with neil at his feet, Andrews right leg kicked over Neil’s shoulder and the controller lost im Neil’s hair. Neil most likely leaning his head on Andrews knee. Anybody that walks on to find them like this is always like ….? For awhile especially considering they are all used to the way matt and Dan wrap one another in their arms like sloths. But it just works for them and everyone comes to realize that nothing about them will ever be normal.
Ok so it’s a romcom but it’s about an unhinged ginger runaway who’s a complete asshole and a 5’ manic genius psycho who promised to protect him.
