Rules for caregivers 😇

1. Be consistent with daily tasks, punishments, and rewards.

2. Remember to reward your little when they’re good, not only punish them when they’re naughty.

3. DON’T punish your little for something you’ve let them do before without punishment!!

4. Pay attention when your little shows you something they’ve made, they’re probably proud of it and want you to be, too.

5. Help us do chores and stuff, but DON’T redo something we’ve already done! We try our hardest, and it makes us sad if you fix what we did.

6. Give us notice before we need to do something. Ex: if it’s almost time for bed, tell us 15-30 mins before we need to have the TV off and be in jammies.

7. If you’re gonna spend a long time without seeing your little, make sure to give them something to have when they miss you. Something they can carry around everywhere.

8. Try and punish your little immediately, don’t wait, we often forget what we’ve done wrong after a while, and the punishment won’t be effective then.

9. Don’t be a pushover and don’t bribe us into doing stuff too often.

10. Lead by example, littles like to imitate what their caregivers do. Don’t do something you don’t want your little to do. Be a good role model.

11. Make sure your little does their chores, if you don’t regularly ask to see if they’re on track, they might feel ignored and not do their chores altogether, but don’t ask too often that we feel like you don’t trust us.

12. Make sure your little gets all the nutrients they need, but don’t force them into eating too much or “finishing their plate”.
