“I’m not trying to hurt you or anything, I promise!”

Shit. His scent is wafting through the air, washing over Tobio. The smell of his blood. Fresh, vibrant, alive. His eyes snap shut as he takes a moment, breaking in through his mouth. His canines ache with the urge to sink his teeth into that supple flesh and —

“Go away!” he snaps desperately.

At that moment, a car passes by near the mouth of the alley, and the yellow of its headlights spills over them both. Tobio watches the backlit figure of the young man freeze — his big eyes widen with realization, mouth falling open in shock. The fingers wrapped around the knife handle tense and shake. Tobio can hear his heartbeat stutter as it starts to race. Hell, he can smell the cold sweat, the fear that rolls off of him.

Delicious, some dark, horrible part of his brain comments, and a wince spills unbidden from his mouth. He realizes that, to this man — looking pallid and feral, with red eyes and blood-smeared teeth — he is completely indistinguishable from the monster he’s been desperately trying not to be. It makes him feel sick all over again. ---

Returning to you from the shadows with my amazing collab project for @kagehinabigbang I did together with @zapshroom and Maeve (popcornpearl on AO3 and twitter)! These intriguing artworks are accompanied by an even more intriguing story - my vampire era is here in full force!🧛‍♂️ Read the story here: |Fall like Sunlight on my Soul A big thank you once again to my team, this was such a fun process and I'm so proud of what we developed together!

I'm currently reading @asterbae's pre BG3 vampire spawn story "Perfect Slaughter" and just had to draw Tyrus, the little drow OC we're following along through the misery. Because if a character fascinates me, there's only one way to deal with it: ✨art studies✨ It's beautifully written and has one of the best character studies for Astarion I encountered so far (and him and Tyrus are just a great match), albeit it's very sad and very dark so pls pls properly check the tags before diving in there should you be curious. check it out here

Your work is incredible, and the image quality is on point. I struggle with that so much. When my images are high quality social media compresses everything into a sorry state. What image sizes/file types and such do you use to upload on Tumblr/Twitter?

Hey there, Thank you so much for your kind words! I always size down my images before upload so I have control over the compression, which mostly ends up at an image size between 1200 to 2000px for the longest side. Hope that helps!

put you in the spotlight |110823 - Collab with XPPEN on Twitter

Ok reblogging this again because???? So many things!!!?!?! R so good about thissss!!!!!

Like ok ok so

Like the way the both look so relaxed and at peace?? Like they are just content and and confident because they know what they're doing and that they are doing it well and like the way they know it's all gonna work our even though they can't even see what the other one is doing?? Like Hinata can't really see what Kageyama is doing because he is running / jumping up behind him and obv Kageyama can't see Hinata bur they just know that not only are they themselves good but their partner is also good? And they are doing what they were meant to be doing with a person who is just as meant to be doing this as they are and they are just supposed to do it together and it's just like calming for them I guess?? And they're just happy about it :)

And then obv the shadow is just 👌👌👌 like

Like Hinata has wings and he can fly and obviously he is doing it by himself now and he worked his way up there but it was Kageyama who first allowed him to fly high over the walls of other teams and score and he is the one who helped him find his wings. He walked in front of him and lifted him up and now he has wings because of it and they are right there in the shadow that Kageyama creates 🐦‍⬛

But even though it was Kageyama who helped him with that Hinata also helped him because although Kageyama was good at Volleyball he was bad at playing in a team but now Kageyama can look up and smile because he knows that his teammate is right behind him and will hit the ball he is playing.. even if he cannot see him, he knows he is there. Hinata has got his back. He knows he is lifting him up but at the same time he knows that Hinata is coming to rise up to his level and play with him

Ok OK anyways.. I am so normal about this post.. I swear I am I and just.. I just need to just real quick I will be so nromal about this in a second after I just

Ok OK I am normal about it now

This is the most elaborate comment to one of my drawings I've ever seen, thank you so so much for your analysis and kind words!

hello, i was wondering how did you go about learning art (for example did you start with anatomy then figure drawing and how did you study)? and where did you learn from art school or self taught (and if self taught what did you use for references?) I'm an intermediate artist just looking for tips and you're one of my favorites. >,<

hey there, Thank you so much for your kind words! It be a true handful to go through the entire process, but breaking it down real quick I can say by now that I've been drawing for over 15 years for myself, got an academic degree for the last six of those and are now freelancing on my own, so I have a bit of a history I can look back on at this point. It's really about keeping your interest fresh with whatever makes you motivated, so you can get that practice in. I basically started because I enjoyed stuff and wanted to expand on ideas and characters on my own terms, and it's mostly been like that ever since. I've never been one for sitting down and doing practice/learning for practice sake though, which is why I encourage people to value fun as your key motivator over how to do it right. In my experience it simply comes with the need to improve at some point, so you'll seek it out naturally. This way you'll get in the practice on the side as a freebee almost. It surely helps to try and break down the basics at some point, especially if you're not a beginner but intermediate already. depending on what interests you (as answered in an ask before this one) you can pick out specific aspects you'd like to improve on and search it up. There's so many helpful tips online from other artists or you can study other peoples work/process to get a better idea of potential workflows that could improve your own work, which is something that tends to help me the most. That means studying their pieces and looking for aspects I like about it. Either they already share how they achive a certain look or you can try and find similar methods to integrate into your own work. On the topic of art school: Really depending on the school of course, but studying arts was more about the discussion with peers and professional sources for feedback rather than learning the basics for me. I wouldn't say it was the driving factor in how my art developed and is certainly not the only way to improve, but it potentially gives you access to people in the field and their experiences. Also looking and discussing other peoples art can be a source of inspiration as well (though that's sth online spaces can provide as well, sometimes even better because of the sheer amound of it). Hope that helps!

what and how should one study to get to your level as an artist? i am just starting out 🙏

hey hey, hope you're enjoying your start at art✨ For the beginning I'd say definitely draw what interests you the most right now no matter what that is, so you're staying motivated to continue! Based on that, be it scenic, figures or something else, it's always good advice to look out for how to break down what you're trying to draw to general rules: e.g. shapes, light and perspective for backgrounds, anatomy (only of specific bodyparts even) for figure drawing or maybe materials if you're more interested in props and other objects. The rest will come with time and practice really. Enjoy this wonderful craft!

I just found you page and OMG your art is absolutely beautiful. I saw your post about how you draw Hinata in different angles and I immediately knew I had to follow.

That is so kind of you, thank you so much! Really glad you're enjoying my art✨

Your artwork is sooooo beautiful!! Would you be willing to share your art process?

hey there, Thank you so much for your kind words!😊 Sharing my whole art process is abit of a difficult task since there's just so many components to it that it's easier to answer questions about specific aspects. Because honestly I wouldn't even know where to start really, it's been in the making for over a decade by now. If you are generally interested in getting more behind-the-scenes and proper insights on how I approach my artworks or specific parts of it, I do have a patreon where I share these kind of things in more detail and where I also can be asked one-on-one questions more easily. Maybe that's an option for you! Either way, glad you're enjoying what I do!
