i can’t decide if this is the single coolest girl in the world for making danger her middle name or the silliest for not seeing the raw power of “millipede danger” which is the greatest name i have ever heard
What's wrong with heat rocks?
Right, so, these things:
Are crazy unsafe. They can't be well-regulated even if you plug them into a thermostat because they can just get way too hot. There's no temperature regulation on these things. On top of that, reptiles are notoriously lousy at recognizing when their bellies are getting too hot because they just haven't evolved to pay much attention to that, so it's super easy for them to get burned badly on heat rocks.
They're unsafe to the point where a lot of reptile vets will just ask outright if you have one as, like, a safety precaution. There is genuinely no excuse for these things to still be on the market because they are that unsafe.
ok someone gifted me the commissions open badge, but now fun thing about those badges, you can only display one of the types of badges at once, so it's either check marks or open commissions for me
i mean thats kinda how the world works isn't it
I spilled milk on my laptop and it exploded.
This sounds like something that would happen considering the laptop I had from 2007 - 2019 burst into flames on my lap.
@bamsara this you?
Arson is a good heater
Quick do we think Moon could fight an owl and win yes or no. Time sensitive question
Okay but like, how fucking cool would it have been if Luz was able to KEEP her Titan form? Like the glyph-powers she got from King’s Dad fade, but the actual transformation remains and becomes this form Luz learns how to shift into at will in much the same way as Eda’s harpy form.
Like it just fits so PERFECTLY with Luz’s arc, her status as a foil to Belos and the way the show has always flipped the script on its depictions of witchcraft and the occult. Like in so many ‘traditional’ depictions this sort of thing would be this horrific, cursed transformation, but here for Luz it’s this wondrous, beautiful display of how she’s been accepted by this world she loves so much, to the point where she’s now PART of this world.
And whereas Belos’s transformation really was this horrific, cursed thing borne out of his fear and hatred for this world, and the world (specifically the Titan) rejecting him in turn, Luz’s transformation is borne out of her love and understanding for this world, and the world’s (the Titan’s) accepting and embracing her in turn.
And Luz would have a cool transformation just like her mentor/other-mom (completely with snaggletooth!) AND her being part-titan is just the perfect affirmation of Luz being King’s older sister.
Oh, and this would also mean Amity WOULD actually get to see her gf’s badass demi-god transformation XD
(Also, just… if we thought Luz’s regular titan-form looked awesome, IMAGINE how epilogue!Luz’s titan form would look.)
Pt 1 of a little thank you project I wanted to do.
Thought I'd let Luz give a good ol' kick to Belos. I'm sure there's a reason why Luz didn't do this in the final, but I thought it'd be fun to animate anyway :D hope you enjoy! (also an excuse to draw Titan Luz ofc)
Thank you Dana and crew for The Owl House, this show has helped me more than you'd ever imagine, it was truly a wonderful journey. I pray for more content in the future, but of course, the show was amazing even with the time crunch!
Endless things to say about these two...
Luz means "light", while Hunter was named by Belos in accordance with witch hunters:
Their encounters with one another in Hunting Palismen and Hollow Mind would set future events in motion:
and also led up to Luz telling him "You're family now":
What happened in Thanks to Them reflects the Hollow Mind paintings shown below:
Belos took both of their lives, and we hear a contrast between Luz saying "I feel like I should be used to this by now, but...I still don't know what to say" and Hunter expressing the desires which he never dared to express in Belos's throne room, since the Titan had yet to pass the wisdom of choosing oneself to Luz:
They were pulled out of the water in which they were sinking, by the parent of their adoptive sibling (who also cared about them deeply):
The loved ones who revived them, passed them the last of their strength in order for these kids to have new life:
And King's dad asked Luz to choose whether she'd receive his life force which he offered, while Belos coercively violated Hunter to use his body like he would a puppet.
The things that Luz and Hunter went through, in parallel, underscore the clash between Belos who told endless lies about the Titan's will, and the Titan himself - King's father - who had very different plans for the Isles. Caught in between:
They were put through so much.
(The big comparison post I made before thinking of this analysis - it's just a picset and not a meta/analysis - is here: link)
i like to think they move like how people in hotel transylvania move
