How/Why DID Aziraphale and Crowley's combined half miracles create all that power??

I know it's clearly set up for a reveal in S03, but

Theories?

(I actually assumed it was GABRIEL'S power that did it, which they accessed/activated unintentionally via holding his hands as they performed the miracle

but that idea has not been mentioned anywhere, either in canon or fandom that I've seen, plus Crowley clearly states it was the act of them performing a miracle together that set off Heaven's alarms, so... Crowley could be wrong, ofc, but since the show doesn't bring up alternative explanations I'm inclined to think it's setting up some kind of reveal about hidden/special powers connected to Aziraphale and Crowley specifically and my initial assumption was incorrect...

...or maybe something about angels and demons in general being able to create/access great power when they work together?)

I’ve had my share of [Crowley voice] you idiot thoughts at both of them over their terrible communication skills and severe chronic inability to say what they mean. But like. I get it.

For 6000 years, they had to talk in code. They had to express themselves in grand gestures and subtext and plausible deniability, out of fear of being found out. And they got really good at it! They developed a whole secret language of ways to say I love you because they couldn’t say it out loud.

But now that they can—and need to—talk about what they are to each other with actual words, they don’t know how.

Aziraphale is off to try and lead Heaven, sacrificing some of the most important things to him to do so (life on Earth, his bookshop) and talking big game about changing/fixing the system - but it all started with him being told he could save/protect the one he loves - something something The Man Who Would Be King something something 'it was all for one man' something something 'he's in love... with humanity' something something 'I miss you PB&J'

Can we talk about Gabriel-Jim's jumper?

I can see the hourglasses as part of the pattern and I love it - nod to the idea of time running out and how it seemed Gabriel was connected to some kinda of dire, possibly apocalyptic event.

But I've yet to examine the rest of the pattern properly - is there more symbolism?

I think there's... something circular? Some kind of labyrinth, maybe? Referencing how, without his memory, Gabriel is lost, but he is going to circle back to himself, and Bees, in the end? (and he does ask for new clothes - symbolic of how he and Bees are gonna escape the twisted confines of Heaven/Hell and their toxic, repetitive cycles?)

#good omens spoilers#good omens 2#ineffable husbands#this feels like it should be similar to spn!angels cutting out their Grace#but clearly it isn't cos it's obviously played as this jokey thing instead#but even so#i have questions#is the halo destroyed forever now? how does this effect an angel? do they feel its loss? will it grow back? ...has zira done this before?#(is that why he's so embarrassed? cos Crowley was there the last time he 'did the thing' and it was esp humiliating then for some reason?#hence Crowley laughing?#...or is it just considered a particularly... idek... cringe thing for angels to do?)

#good omens 2#good omens spoilers#ineffable husbands#the way Crowley rushes back tho#how he stops and you can ~see him make that last minute impulsive decision to do it#because he sees this moment as his last chance and fuck it if he's not going to take what he's always wanted before the end#the softness in his initial yearning overpowered by forceful desperation and anger and pain#you don't... you don't understand just ~how many versions of this kind of angsty - somewhat dubcon - last chance kiss I've dreamed&read#and zira returns that same pain and desperation and yearning#because he wants it too and also sees now this moment is his last chance at such intimacy between them#hence the way his arms try to cling - wanting to draw Crowley closer - wanting to kiss back#but no he can't - not like this#he wants it - Crowley wants it - but they both figure out quick that this way is wrong#and Crowley's reaction is to be more physically forceful - to angrily try and ~make it work#while Zira's is just to cry - overcome by the sorrow and disappointment of his dream being lost#although Zira ~is angry about the wrongness and the loss of how it could/should have been too#it just doesn't hit him until later#when he viciously wipes his hands from his lips#uuuuugh I'm dying#the angst oh the angst#tragedy is my biggest kink#miscommunication

Guys, it just occurred to me that they were on the wrong sides of each other for the kiss.

Crowley was on the left, and he's almost ALWAYS on the right. Aziraphale is on the right, and he is almost ALWAYS on the left.

All I'm saying is, if the s3 kiss happens with them switched back, I'm never shutting up about it.

Yet another nod to the mis-timing and miscommunication of it all - what both of them wanted, but in all the wrong ways.

A S03 kiss with them switched back AND with Crowley's glasses removed is now The Dream - if we get it you will all hear me screaming I swear
