Justice for Albert Joseph Davis

In 2015, Albert Joseph Davis was at an apartment complex when a fight broke out. Police claim that Albert was one of the involved individuals, but family members say that the fight occurred before Albert arrived on the scene, and an officer told him that he could leave. Police further claim that Albert put up a violent fight, leading Officer Kelvin Vidro to use a taser, and then a gun when that was not effective. Family members object to this – the medical examiner’s report said there were no taser marks on Albert’s body, and he had been shot at a distance. Albert was unarmed, and was heading home; he was shot only a block away from his house. Despite the police’s insistence that it was a violent struggle, Officer Vidro had no injuries, which casts substantial doubt on their narrative. It is unconscionable that no action has been taken in Albert Joseph Davis’s case, and that the media has only reported the police’s version of the story. Officer Kelvin Vidro is still employed today. Hey guys, I realised that no one is talking about Rina Sawayama not being allowed to participate in The Mercury and Brits Awards. Both of these award shows require artists to have a british citzenship to be eligible for nominations. However, many artists like Rina Sawayama were not born into countries that allow dual citizenships. If she applies for a British citizenship, she must give up her Japanese citizenship. This is something that American and European immigrants will never have to suffer from. This rule restricts immigrants from participating in these award shows. So many of us are asking these awards shows to remove their citizenship requirement and/or give Rina Sawayama a pass on this requirement (she has lived in england for over 25 years).
