Some herbs are not meant to be ingested, while others are not meant to be used topically, or undilluted. Many people can be allergic to the most common of ingredients (think of peanut or strawberry allergies) and some may be unsafe for use by pregnant women, (such as lavender or pennyroyal). I drew death-themed horoscopes for rad new publication Damn Joan! They’re not death-themed in a gloomy way, they’re about how each star sign approaches death. 🌟Tips for interpreting Tarot🌟

1. The most important clues may be in the background! 

  • In the Rider Waite Smith deck, many cards show a figure with a number of significant items behind his or her back. What happens behind one’s back is, for oneself, something unseen, shadowy, something to which one has no conscious access. This could point to the idea that the figure in the foreground is unaware of the nature or scope of their issues. You can’t grasp what you cannot see, and that can reveal a lot about the nature of the card’s meaning.

2. The color of the sky reveals a lot!

  • Again referencing the Rider Waite Smith deck, the color of the sky on a given card often leads to a simple but important clue for its interpretation.

3. Pay close attention to proportions!

  • In the image of the Four of Wands, the figures are depicted much smaller than is the case in other images; they fall short. Or perhaps they are of normal height and are painted so small in order to emphasize the comparatively huge size of the wands. This sort of thing can be found in many other cards. 

4. Court cards represent developed personalities or facets of oneself!

  • The Queen: impulsive, an initiator, an investigator (water type)
  • The King: thorough, intensive, consolidating (fire type)
  • The Knight: magnifying, expanding, a drawer of consequences (air type)
  • The Page: makes something tangible out of or with the element in question (earth type)

4. Pay attention to numbers!

  • Numerology can play a big role in your interpretations of the cards, especially in the Minor Arcana:
  1. Ones (Aces): Something new with vast potential is indicated when you have many aces in your readings. They are pure energy without form - and it depends on you to shape it and bring the opportunities that they represent into fruition. Because they are raw, they are also unstable, and can very quickly overwhelm if not taking care.
  2. Twos: Coming together in pairs is the theme of the twos, and all the complexities that this union represents. We leave the individuality of the ones, and the twos are a taste of union. 
  3. Threes: Group dynamics rule the threes in the tarot, and they depict different outcomes that can occur when a group comes together - whether they are groups of individuals, or groups of ideas. Because it is also symbolically thought of as completion (the first polygon, the holy trinity, etc) it also indicates an initial completion of a first phase of some sort.
  4. Fours: The fours usually indicate that some foundation has been created and is ready to grow and evolve. To grow and evolve is the key here, because though the foundation is created, there is some disappointment indicated sometimes because things may not have progressed entirely as hoped for - thus, the fours are also the universe’s way of pushing us to grow and move forward.
  5. Fives: Change, fluctuations and conflict are represented by the fives. After the fours, the fives are amplifications of that same energy. When that energy explodes, the fives ask us to look within ourselves for a deeper reason of why to progress. To move forward and beyond these instabilities, we have to push forward.
  6. Sixes: While the fives represent conflict, the sixes represent the movement away from that conflict into a solution, whether they are internal or external, whether that means reconciliation or letting go. They are the cards of overcoming suffering, light after the dark.
  7. Sevens: When seeing many sevens in a reading it usually indicates that it is a time to step back and introspect. The sevens ask us to assess, and reevaluate whether the path that you are taking is what is best for you. Sometimes this is a lonely pursuit, but this period is needed to go forward with your authentic desires.
  8. Eights: A completion of a second phase is indicated with the eights, and usually corresponds to some sort of achievement, whether in the worldly sense, or in an emotional sense. Growth either way is indicated here, and sometimes it can take place in a form where we least expected it.
  9. Nines: Nearing completion is indicated by the nines, and this can take the form of entering a plateau of some sort. What looks like the finish line, may actually be just a transitory stage. While the feeling of completion is here, it is usually just a pause before the final part of the cycle comes.
  10. Programing Your Crystals

We’ve all heard this before, Right?

“Program your crystal to blah blah blah” 

When giving advise to beginner practitioners sometimes we forget to stop and explain what it means to even program a crystal. In short, You are infusing it with intention. A Goal, A Desire. You are infusing a crystal to amplify that intention and desire, And to hopefully achieve it. 

The way you do this is simple. 

1. Cleanse your Crystal - This is the most important step. Cleanse. Your. Crystal. Yourself. Use herb smoke, Energy work, Sunlight, Moonlight, Prayer, What ever works for YOU. 

2. Cleanse Yourself - This is equally as important as cleansing your crystal because you want to be in a clear calm state. You don’t want any outside forces influencing your work. 

3. Once you are clear with your intention and desire hold your crystal in your hands. Visualize what you want, Speak aloud or in your thoughts. Be Clear. Be repetitive. Feel it. 

4. Feel the energy and warmth leaving your hands, And entering the crystal. Make it yours, And fill it with your desire. 

5. Continue these steps until you feel the crystal has fully absorbed all the vibrational energy. 

That’s all! The crystal will now hold your intention, And will amplify your attract your desire. 

(To reverse this process, Do the same steps with intention of cleansing and release the energy.)

This is Selenite! It is named after the Greek word “Selene,” which means moon. It has a moonlike glow when polished. This is one of those special few in the crystal realm that doesn’t require charging. 

Selenite has such a cool property in that it can be used to cleanse your other crystals and stones! Awesome! Just lay the crystals in need of cleansing on top or touching a piece of Selenite for about 15-30 minutes and let this gorgeous crystal clear them! It’s able to do this because of its unique ability to clear blockages or pathways of energy.

Selenite vibrates with a rather high energy. This makes is a great stone for the mind! Some of the lore states that if you and your partner are fighting, exchanging a Selenite stone will bring peace to the relationship.

And lastly, this interesting healing stone is a very powerful protection talisman. It is said to protect the wearer from outside dangers and protect the home when placed in a prominent location.

☆ Crystals to cleanse the home!☆

Hi guys, here is a quick post on crystals to aid in cleansing the home.

Rose Quartz 

Rose quartz is often considered a love stone or a healing stone. Keeping a large piece of rose quartz in your bedroom or a room you are frequently in should help promote a love and nurturing atmosphere and environment helping negate negative energy! It’ll also help maintain happiness and love in your home. Remember to cleanse the stone with sage or tea, and they charge it with ‘running’ rose water. Do this as you see fit! (Wilde also finds it helpful if you leave it outside in a salt circle during the full moon)

Smokey Quartz

Smokey quartz is a great general cleansing crystal, this stone will remove dense energies and will replace it with a clear, clean and an uplifting energy! They’re very grounding and protective crystals and will help clear anxieties or negativeness that may occur in the home! Cleanse and charge in moonlight.

Black Obsidian

This is an excellent protection stone, this stone works by absorbing negative energies. It helps release tension and disharmony, allowing you home to be less tense and allowing less arguments to take place (hopefully)! We recommend you keep two pieces on each side of your front door to prevent any negative energies from coming into your home.  Be sure to cleanse and charge it in moonlight!

Amethyst

This crystal absorbs negative energy and helps create a tranquil and happy atmosphere. Place an Amethyst cluster in rooms you frequent for this effect, it also helps you sleep better if you keep it in your bedroom! Cleanse and charge in moonlight, too!

If you don’t own crystals, don’t worry! Sigils often have some of the same effects as them. As well as this, salt lamps often cover some of the properties of the stones too, and are relatively cheap to buy! Blessed be! -Wilde and Quinn
