macdonald lake shimmers through montana trees here three nights by the continental divide constantly very bear aware openly unsure what the hell’s next the road will tell supertramp ways back into canada banff, jasper on the horizon
chirping forest stillness parents yelling chopped wood burning, blue smoke rising our flames were recycled from campers before
second-time heated spaghetti, extra fresh basil half done cross-stitch taught by my mother
seven inch gummy worm wounds tear across my ribcage waiting to heal slug motion
the sun catches selected objects if you look
celebrating national park week. a list of parks i visited april 2015-16:

on top of the national parks, there are a few national monuments and parks to mention:
- devils tower
- palouse falls
- oregon dunes
- crazy horse
- imperial dunes
- white sands
prickly, plump stubs reach into the sky densely filling the desert landscape. brownish-red wavy top mountains higher up, fading out further distance.
turtle doves coo to the new moon slivering. the green state tree frays in silhouette upward to a less saturated, three color gradient sunset.
a few campsites over, a satisfyingly bad singer strums on his ukulele as the retired american snow birds contently brag.
Lisa Beggs and her partner Victor Ving have combined their passions to bring street art to cities across the United States. Driving inspiration from vintage “Greetings” post cards, they’re creating murals that reflect the cities they visit.
