Even if I’m not physically sitting in a bathtub filled with rose petals reading feminist literature im always there mentally
feminine women experience misogyny obvs and being a feminine woman is not a privilege but the notion that mother janet mock presented, that feminine feminists (in american feminism) are overwhelmingly reviled for their femininity, is ahistorical. literally ahistorical. women, namely lesbians, who did not conform to femininity were ostracized from the feminist movement and thought of misogynists, as betraying the cause, as ‘manlike.’ look up “the lavender menace.” lesbian and bi feminists’ created their own theories and then embraced a radical critique of patriarchy after being seen as suspects. remember the stonewall riots. it was illegal for cafab women to be gender non-conforming; this impacted gnc lesbians, drag kings, and trans men who did not have ’M’ on their ID’s. if you wore more than three articles of “male clothing” as a cafab woman, you could be arrested for being gender non-conforming during that time. gender non-conforming trans women have incredible difficulty finding solace in feminist and even trans spaces. there does exist misogynist rhetoric towards feminine women within feminism for their femininity and that should not tolerated, but to present this problem as something that is overwhelmingly built into the structure of women’s history is ahistorical. anywhom i have captain crunch 2 eat.
Hi. I just want to tell you that gynossexual is kind of a transphobic term, because it's like the attraction isn't for a woman, but for the vaginas and for ovaries and stuff. It's even quit offensive for cis woman tbh 'cause it's like the attraction you feel for womens are acttualy for they capacity of reprodution. I know you didn't know, just warning :)
Ok sorry thanks for letting me know!
Why is it transphobic to only be attracted to one sex? It’s “quit offensive” to be attracted to masculinity and/or femininity because it’s like the attraction you feel for mens or womens are acttualy for they capacity to wear gendered clothes and act out oppressive sex stereotypes or they capacity to choose the right label to describe themselves.
It’s transphobic, and also incredibly misogynistic, because you’re literally reducing people down to their genitals.
In what sense is that acceptable?
Okay, but there are literally different sex acts involved for each sex. Why should someone enjoy sex with both sets of genitals? Why is it transphobic to only have sex with people you enjoy physically? Attraction and love has a physical component.
The big issue here is that lesbians have been encouraged to use this term (instead of lesbian) when they are exclusively interested in sex that involves two vulvas. So no matter what terms we use, we are under attack for not being turned on by sex with penises.
That is homophobic.
^ yep. it’s gross.
