AAHH finally done! My first real attempt at storytelling in a drawing! It's honestly terrifying to draw anything that isn't a typical portrait but done! Smashed through that border. 

"By the way, I bring news from home." Nothing beats drawing one of the frames of doctor who, to study light and shape. Been an amazing trip of knowledge!

Another Commission finally done! She was SUCH blessing to draw. An Arkanian Jedi Knight.

Finally finished this commission after so long! It taught me a lot through the months I've worked on and I'm happy it's done.

Soo. Yeh! An Alice in Wonderland screencap. Alice is adorable (screw her anatomy though. See that forehead? IT'S HUGE.). Now, the colors are... really.. bright. I choose for this on purpose. I wanted to capture the wildness, crazy, bright world of Wonderland with the colors. WOEHH. A study combined with some relaxing painting. I was less focused in going into details and more with just relaxing and learning how to make the fur of a deer, a forest and so on. I should learn deer anatomy tho, since I used heavy references for this piece. But oh well! That'll come one day. I'm just happy with this and it looks gorgeous on my background so I'm happy! Just. I .. really.. don't know? There's no real story behind it. Just wanted to practice with anatomy and shades. (Note, this is made with no references at all!) WHAT'S THIS. LILY IS TRYING OUT NEW STUFF. Honestly, don't be surprised if you see this way more often. I had so much fun drawing this portrait. While it's drawn without any references (pretty sure that some parts of the anatomy is off. But well. It was more a type test.) I'm still super proud. And again, this was SO FUN? Crilana Goldspeaker Thiss is my necromancer! An original character of mine. I must say, I'm quite proud by the way she looks. I first started with designing the staff. A long staff with a snake's skeleton around it. After I was done with that, I made four clothing designs. (Well actually 2 + 2 capes). Because I fell so solid in love with this dress, I chose it directly. My partner in crime (hihiih <33) Nickolai helped me with her costume. Now, this character is for a new universe I'm working on. "Time's up. Stop with messing around and look at the damage we are causing to our lovely planet named Earth." Sooo! Now this is a bit.. hehe special. One of these drawings that you just .. come up with while drawing? I'LL NEVER DRAW OIL AGAIN. I think that it might be the best to explain what's going on in this piece, it might be a bit unclear for some! I made this for an art competition, which is about environmental awareness. Because I LOVE drawing underwater scenes, I figured that picking the sea would be the strongest choice for me. Then, the research started. And I almost cried, many times. It shocked me, seeing all of these turtles with plastic around their shells, stranded fish with oil around them and so on. But even tho it was shocking, it's also the truth about how our world is, right now. First of all, the mermaid is a Common skate. The Common skate is in fact Critically Endangered. I HAD to include the Common skate in some way and I choose for the mermaid. The second thing that you'll notice is the oil barrels, in the sand. Many animals have died, because of oil leaks in our sea. The corals that we own, are also dying out because of this. The thirth and last thing that you can notice is the trash. One of these drawings where EVERYTHING goes wrong. "Oh you are having the hands finished? Thumbs are on the wrong side. Legs are broken. Your test to try out grey scale + colour layer? Hahah nuh! You try to save your file after you made a big change? File error!" So I finished this on a screenshot. That's why it's tiny and the quality is bad like that. Soz. So first of all I want to say, this is the first real drawing I made of a dark skinned person. ( Not completly fair, I did make Rue from the Hunger games but that doesn't count in my eyes ) And that's really bad of me. REALLY bad. Now, after drawing this, I must say that I truely enjoyed drawing a dark skinned person and I'll truely draw dark skinned people way WAY WAY more often now. ( Shame on me, really ). So this is my character Kheera, a crazy Shaman. Oh and she likes to walk around half naked. I used to have her for D&D but I only had the chance to use her once, wich is a shame. Her spirit is a fox, and she's from the Northen Tribe. She was so fun to roleplay with and I'm glad that I kept her character sheet haha. Now on a second note, I tried a new style of shading in the face. A bit more .. cartoon like I guess? And I wonder how people are thinking about the way I shaded it. Eghhhh IT'S DONE. First of all. I want to make clear, this is NOT drawn so I can hurt people. I respect all religions and I do not think the same as the lyrics. This drawing is only based on these lyrics. Now, let's explain the picture. It's an evil Angel who gives poison to the priest. The priest there for kills people "I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife". Nothing more, nothing less. It's all based on the lyrics! Now, I worked on this for a long long while. It's the first time I've drawn a real background like this and gosh! I learned so much from this, yet I'm glad it's finally done. It's also the first time that I've played around with light so much! So this is my old character, in a new jacket. And she has magical hair painting colours. Now she's not brown anymore, but she can be brown!  Anyway I do not feel like explaining everything that's on the character sheet here, because I know it for myself (tho the yellow thing is a light shield).
