I think everyone should take some time to fall in love with themselves. like, find out how you like to be loved, what you truly love to do, your favorite scents, your favorite song, your favorite food, your least favorite foods, your pet peeves, your bad habits, your good qualities, and everything you never thought you needed to discover. get to know yourself, and then fall in love with yourself

since my gay ass loves space, i decided to take this buzzfeed quiz that determines which planet matches your personality. tag your results and zodiac sign. i’m a gemini and i got venus!

In the Netherlands, abortion is legal. There is however one pro life organization called Stichting Schreeuw Om Leven. But instead of harrassing women who are on their way to the abortion clinic and make them feel miserable, they offer them HELP.

If a woman wants to get an abortion because she is financially unable to give birth to and raise a baby, the organization will pay for everything she needs during the pregnancy and after, until she’s financially stable to raise the baby on her own.

This organization won’t stop women from going to the abortion clinic, but would rather hve a healthy conversation with them. Ask them if they can help her with anything in order for them to keep the baby. They also hand out contraception in the streets for those who can’t afford it.

Women don’t get abortions just because they want to. There are reasons why. This organization doesn’t fight abortion, it fights the reasons why women get abortions. Take notes America.

It’s like. They are actually pro-life. As inthey care about human life

lorde really wrote an album about being the kid that stayed home when people went out and had to keep a reputation of being nice and modest and polite but secretly wanting to go crazy and dance wildly and go running and bounding and sobbing but feeling as though your whole life hinges on other people giving you the opportunity to do it and so you feel as though you’re wasting your youth

“늦게 피는 꽃은 있어도 피지 않는 꽃은 없다.”

There may be late bloomers but there are no flowers that don’t bloom.

I like that one line in mitski’s song “Nobody” that goes like Venus, planet of love was destroyed by global warming because its like a smart metaphor for how people destroy love by asking for too much or smth like that and you are like yes she is the queen of lyrics but the thing is that is literally what happened to Venus the planet got too much CO2 in the atmosphere and it became hellfire so not only is mitski the queen of lyrics but also the queen of modern astrophysics

a gentle reminder that negative thoughts are an illusion. you’re actually going to be ok. project good things in ur life and do as many things as you can to feel good about yourself in healthy ways. immediate forms of gratification like buying things you don’t need and sabotaging yourself tend to be impulsive and they won’t make u feel any better and can be addicting. you need to stop relying on the feeling of safety that negative mindsets give you - they only prevent you from ever changing yourself. there is a whole world out there that is brighter and more beautiful to discover when you heal. it will be easier to get out of bed, concentrate on tasks, feel worthy and loved, and do things that are difficult to do right now. sometimes the love and patience you need the most is from yourself.

“Your relationship with yourself is the only one worth going out of your way to preserve. Because sometimes people tell you they’ll always be there for you and a week later they’re telling you to have a nice life. Then you’ll feel stupid about the time you put their feelings over your own when they don’t care about hurting you at all. Someone who actually cares about your happiness will understand if you tell them you have to make a choice for yourself for once. We all need time to think every once in a while. We all feel like we’re having mid life crises in our mid twenties. We all sometimes wish we had a pause button on our lives, or a time machine, or a crystal ball. It’s these times when you need the people you care about to be behind you, not a roadblock in front of you, preventing you from going forward. It’s hard to explain to someone that you love them just as much as ever but you need them to play a different part in your life now. And it’s okay for that person to not understand or to get mad or hurt but it’s not okay for them to try to stop you or sabotage you or try to hurt you back. And it’s definitely not okay for them to guilt you or insult you or tell you you’re wrecking your life because what gives them the authority to know that? Remember that even if other people don’t understand or misinterpret your decisions, they are your decisions. And as long as they’re not illegal or dangerous, those other people don’t get to say whether or not they’re right or wrong. The only person whose opinion should matter is yourself. Make yourself proud. Learn, grow, meet new people, excel at your job, and never turn down an opportunity because someone else tells you to. Nothing is the end of the world because even if everyone leaves, you’ll still have yourself. And you’ll still have endless opportunities to start over and be whoever you want to be, even if you have no idea who that is yet.”

“Last year I went into a flower shop and picked through the long-stemmed roses and bright bouquets of daisies to land on a small green plant sitting in the corner. It felt like an odd choice to give you with so much color and beauty around it but I think I saw it like a promise. The plant said everything I wanted to say. Let’s tend to this and make it last. Let’s grow together and see what we become. Now it sits on your table by the window, full of new leaves and stems. It stands as a reminder of what you and I have grown into. A little love, a little sunlight and we become extraordinary.”

Why Kiki’s Delivery Service is important for flailing 20-somethings like myself and why this movie makes me cry happy tears:

-Kiki goes out into the world and realizes how bad some people can be, but she still tries to do good -She knows she’s wants to be a helpful witch but she doesn’t really know what to do with her witchy powers -She literally loses her powers after becoming very depressed with this knowledge and feeling like she’s not a good enough person or a good enough witch -She realizes that she may not be doing anything “great” or “cool” like other witches but she’s actually really successful because she uses her powers to help people and start her own small business -Miyazaki is trying to show us that because Kiki is kind and helpful and stays true to herself then that is what makes her incredibly successful -Sometimes we need reminders in our life that we can be successful in many ways

stop me if you’ve heard this one but men will search for women who are full of joy and confidence so they can leech off of it and then after they’ve left her empty and burned out and drained of all the life that once existed behind her eyes they’ll say she isn’t the woman they fell in love with

“You get a strange feeling when you’re about to leave a place. Like you’ll not only miss the people you love but you’ll miss the person you are now at this time and this place, because you’ll never be this way ever again.”
