Sad update everyone, Tama recently passed away… An estimated 3,000 people, including railway officials, attended Tama the cat’s funeral on Sunday, days after she died of heart failure aged 16. [x]

For those who haven’t read articles about it, the local shrine elevated her to a god. She’s now the Eternal Stationmaster and patron god of the station.

Nitama, already now a mature cat (born 2010), has a protege named Yontama (fourth Tama, b. 2016).  There is no information available for either the physical befellment or tragic self-disgrace which has removed Santama from contention.

TLDR:  My abusive home situation is forcing me, my sister, and our 2 dogs out and we need to find a permanent place to live. If you are willing to donate, I have a Paypal, a Ko-fi, and I will still be sending out shop orders, which is my primary source of income. I’m hesitant to make this post as I have been trying very hard to keep my private life separate from my online presence, but recently the situation has become somewhat desperate. My abusive home situation has gotten increasingly worse this year, especially in the past few months, to the point where my sister and I feel it is no longer safe to stay there. Our abuser has threatened multiple times to harm/kill us and has made it clear that we are not welcome. As we don’t have another place of residence, we are currently staying in an Airbnb with our 2 dogs using my savings to give us some buffer time until we can figure out a more permanent living situation. For this reason, I have finally opened a Ko-fi where you can support me and my art if you are able to! Any amount helps, and anything I get from Ko-fi will go towards my living expenses/rent until my sister and I are situated. Why do people have such an aversion to nature being in their lives? Who looked at this and thought brick looked nicer than the ivy?

If I had to guess, I’d say the ivy is coming off because it’s damaging the building. Can’t say that the building is more aesthetically pleasing without it, but…

Yeah, ivy is very pretty, but is TERRIBLE for brick. If they’d left it it would have eventually completely destroyed all the mortar between the bricks, which can lead to accidents. Give how thick that mat looks, they should have done it a lot sooner.

Like the solid seeming wall just collapsing one day and hurting or killing people.

If you want vines crawling up the side of your house/building, rig up a trellis (you don’t have to buy one necessarily, you can make one from scrap pretty easy) and find a vine that wraps around stuff instead of digging roots in.

I don’t think there’s an applause gif big enough to properly convey my reaction to this. Also, I love that if anyone tries to say that you’re just “another hack fic writer with no ideas of her own who is jealous of the “real” writers out there”, they could quite literally be crushed under your catalog of award-winning original writing as a response. They can’t dismiss your stance on this topic the way they do to so many unpublished / fanfic writers because you’ve already met all of the standards that they insist someone has before they’ll accept their opinion as worth listening to.
