💙 Feltvoo dollies and more 💙

@lilliestanleysart

All you need to know about me is that I love art and crafting, I'm happily married with two kids, and I'm NOT here to make friends or sell anything. I just want to share my joy for art and crafting with everyone/anyone.

So I've noticed a couple of people under 18 years of age following me. I think it should be stated that I'm well over the age of 18, and I do occasionally have art that's 18 years+ on here. It should also be noted however that all the 18y+ stuff on my page is stuff I made. So that being said, everyone following is now being warned.

Later post added

(So I made a post about my 18y+ art, but failed to remember that I've already removed it all from here 🤣 that happens a lot. Anyway, I believe the reason I removed it was because I noticed that there were 18y under that I followed for art and didn't want there to be any issues. But honestly, this is my page and one of the only places I put my art, plus it's not like I have that many 18y+ artworks anyway. So if I ever repost it back here it has a warning up already, but I don't know if I will. There's a reason there's not much to begin with, I mainly drew it to make a point that's not even relevant anymore, and I'm like borderline asexual so yeah there's no lust for it or ever was. So that's it, no point in looking through my profile for any and don't really get your hopes up for any from me anyway. Peace and love to you all though ✌️❤️)

Vampire Magicka | WEBTOON

In a world of humans and monsters, Visare is a young vampire obsessed with his favorite anime, Bunny Tenshi. When he finds a magic pendant, he embarks on a quest to save his missing sister. Facing mad scientists, robots, and other monsters, will he be able to become a hero like Bunny Tenshi? Or will his own powers betray him?

I had always assumed this was some extremist Christian book for kids. Turns out this is actually by a gay comic artist named Howard Cruse who passed away in 2019. This is from a 1980 short story called “Billy Goes Out” which tells the story of a man named Billy who is trying to move on with life after his partner’s untimely passing. It highlights a lot of the struggles of the LGBT community at the time. This particular frame is him remembering how he blamed himself being gay when bad things happened to him as a child.

So sad, you'd be surprised by how much anti gay stuff is actually done by gay people who are internalizing hate 😢 but they got the idea to hate themselves from somebody else, keep that in mind.

Colleen Moore’s fairy tale castle dolls’ house. Moore was one of the most successful silent film stars (famous for popularising the ‘Dutch boy’ bob), and she started creating this dolls’ house in 1928. She enlisted the help of professional planners and architects, such as Horace Jackson, the set designer at First National Studios. The entire house can be broken down into individual pieces and packed into specially designed shipping crates, and from 1935 to 1939 Moore took the dolls’ house on tour through the U.S. to help raise money for children’s charities, which proved hugely successful. Moore gave the dolls’ house to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago in 1949.

About the only reason I would want to but kind of wish I lived closer just so I could go see it 😍

DP au where everything’s the same except phantom wears these

that's where he puts the ghosts

He walks around and you see the ghostly ectoplasm soup sploosh around inside of them. A tiny skulker is desperately knocking on the see-through walls and screaming for help, as Danny decides to do the shuffle.

I wanted these shoes so bad, still kind of do. Probably wouldn't wear them much, I always seem to go back to crocs.

Older doodle! Between Monster High, Ghoul School, Gravedale High and Hotel Transylvania; isn’t it fun how many (colour-coded) kids Dracula has? 🧛

I'd say the fact that you can look at them and just tell that they're all vampires just goes to show that color and style is just an illusion and opinion. I can think of a few others that prove it too, including Visare from a manga I just got through reading and he's got a cute anime theme kind of.

Rainbow High Series 5 Victoria Whitman doll

For anyone who has her, does her hair give you orange vibes? I'd like another orange for my collection (I have a Poppy) but I'm more for pastel colors and the pictures look like her hair gives a pastel orange vibe. So any thoughts from anyone who has her.

The Mysterious Rainbow High Tentpole has arrived at Walmart!

What is it? Camping? Music Festival? We know Project Rainbow has a fashion connection, but what does that have to do with tents?

For the last short while, give or take a month, I've seen a wide shelf space at Walmart reserved for this mysterious object. A playset?

Well, what we think could be a playset anyway? There's been no leaked images anywhere for Tentpole, and we aren't exactly sure what this could be.

As I was looking around the toy section, I spotted this box at the end of the aisle! The box isn't super big. Length wise, I'd say it's about as big as a Rainbow Vision character doll box. So it's not like it's super huge like... well, hmm. It's more like the size similar to the Pacific Coast pool playset.

Watch, it might be nothing new after all. It could just be a restock of the tour bus. 😆

It's gotta connect to season 4 of the show. Why would it be a restock of something we've already seen? This is definitely new. I think.

Plus, the most obvious note: Small Dolls.

So... Maybe not a playset? Junior High? Hmm.

What do you think?

Adding extra pictures for anyone who wants to see it, I can't wait to get one myself 😍 so excited for this playset. Only ones I have (if they even count) are Avery and the fashion closet.

Newest addition to my rainbow high shelf ❤️💗🧡💛💚💙💜💖 I think the light blue and white of Skyler's winter break outfit looks great on Daria with the dark pink hair and it really brings her eyes to the front. Man she is just so gorgeous 😍🥰

Gratitude - Tidying Up With Marie Kondo (2019)

Avatar

I know people make a lot of fun of Marie Kondo, but I felt like her book was the first organizational guide I’ve ever read that acknowledged people having an emotional attachment to possessions as natural and healthy, instead of telling you you’re an awful person for feeling sad over objects.

Once again a reminder that many of the objections and bitching and mocking of Marie Kondo was rooted deeply in racism.

Marie Kondo is a genuinely good individual who the US absolutely did not deserve. Thank you Marie Kondo, you spark joy in me.

The only real problem I had with her methods was that some of them assume you have money.

If you don’t use an item just throw it away and if you need it later you’ll get another one. If someone is living paycheck to paycheck or in poverty that’s just not good advice. No matter how much junk they have stuffed in their space.

It also feels potentially very wasteful because not every item is something you can donate or sell so it would create unnecessary waste when you could have waited and used the one you already had.

Avatar

If you actually read her book she still says that you need to readjust your concept of spark joy to include things that give you the security of owning it, even if they don’t make you happy or whatever. So if you’re holding onto something, evaluate if you can see yourself actually using it in the future, enjoy the security of having there as a back up or just, in general, actually seeing yourself having a use for it rather than holding onto it from a vague sense of guilt.

It’s the whole point of being thankful to your possessions. If you’re holding onto them because they will be there when you need it (even if you don’t gain joy from the item itself), it’s a form of gratitude you can bring forward to the things you keep in your life.

Avatar

If you read her book, you see her specific example of how she got rid of her screwdriver because she thought she never used it, then eventually realized that she did indeed use it, if only rarely, and there was nothing else that would work as well for the job as a screwdriver, and that is what specifically inspired her to think of things in terms of usefulness in the future, even if they don’t seem useful or joyful in the moment.

Konmari is not about getting rid of things, it’s about figuring out what to keep, and, as shown above, thanking the rest for helping you understand your needs more clearly.

Avatar

Sorry, if you don’t understand “screwdrivers have uses” I’m not sure why I should listen to you.

Avatar

She understood that “screwdrivers have uses” but she could not remember the last time she had personally used a screwdriver, so she concluded that having a screwdriver taking space in her possessions was not important to her. There’s a difference. Including that anecdote was her admitting that she made a mistake and learned from it, and I am not the kind of person who would criticize someone for that.

Ultimately, she also acknowledges that her approach is not for everyone, so, yes, there is absolutely no reason for you to listen to her, and that’s fine.

(I’m not even a Konmari True Believer. Her book helped me solidify approaches I was already intuitively kinda doing, especially after dealing with my parents’ possessions and how that made me feel about my own things. I do think some of her approaches are silly, and, yeah, years ago I absolutely would have rolled my eyes at it–now, I just ignore those parts.) (Incidentally, learning to ignore the parts I think are silly is the only way I’ve finally started exercising, because if I only accepted a YouTube exercise channel that aligned with my mindset 100%, I’d never find anything. Sometimes compromise means ignoring the ridiculous stuff.)

All around some good advice, but I love the pictures and what she said about appreciating even the things you don't like and how it helps you to grow as a person 💖💙

Well I said I wasn't going to do it, but when I saw her in the store it was love at first sight 😍❤️ she's the closest to red that I actually like, so in the red category I now have her and Holly. Anyway, I didn't really like her og doll but without the light pink in her hair she just shines now. I don't like the lack of stuff and details for the price but my husband insisted on me getting one of the budget ones today so I decided that I just couldn't pass her up looking like this. Her face is gorgeous 😍🥰 and for less joints at least what she has does have great range so not all bad really.

just finished this top i've been working on to go with the skirt i fixed and i think it's really cute but also this look is way too Neutral Tones* for me now and it needs another element to add some damn color. right now the shapes are cute but the palette is giving oatmeal 🤢 perhaps a vest is in order

*despite the fact that the background of all my pics is off-white, i am emphatically NOT NOT NOT a Neutrals/Beige-loving person...i just take my doll pics in my art room where i work on them, and my art room is a shades-of-white box to try to minimize visual clutter/distraction so i can focus better on stuff i am making bc all my paintings/dolls/projects are AGGRESSIVELY COLORFUL and shiny and full of patterns and so is the rest of my house 😅😅😅

Oooooo that’s a lovely outfit you’ve made.

that's interesting info about your art room being white/your art being wild colors!

I think maybe a long/wide (I think they are called chunky) necklace with a purple stone (doesn't have to be the same color), or add a purple ribbon or bow to the collar. That's just something I could see myself doing.

okay i just wanna say i’m super grateful for everyone’s support and wonderful compliments on my posts but i need some help bc wtf do i do after someone compliments me? do i send them a pricate message or would that be weird to do? bc i genuinely appreciate everyone’s compliments and i want to let them know that but idk how i should do it

WHAT IS THE TUMBLR ETIQUETTE

So I was wondering the same thing, but I never really know what I'm doing anyway 🫠🙃 I just figure that you do whatever feels right to you as long as you're happy and not hurting people, and last I checked messages don't hurt lol but you might not get a reply back. I for one have issues with messaging people because I never know what their intentions are, whereas a comment is seen by everyone and it's usually (usually, not always) very innocent 😇 that's just how I work though. If I can't message you publicly then I don't need to be messaging you at all. I do it this way myself because of thirsty people and I don't want to look thirsty or attract thirsty. (It's more complicated than that but I've rambled on enough)

It's in its frame so that's why you can see me taking the picture lol, the background is fabric from Walmart and I painted the minion with acrylic paint. I have to wait before I can post this to Facebook since it's for my oldest kids birthday, but right now minions are his favorite thing so I painted a minion using elements of the main three. It's a dancing minion with the main body being like Stuart, the hair from Kevin, and the eyes from Bob. I really hope he's happy with it.
