|| Day 5: Action Magic - Overpass

Whoops, someone seems to have mixed up our cast's scripts! Bracelet boys? Riding Duel King Kurosaki? What is this?? Whatever shall we do?? Show us your wildest swaps today- be it roleswap, bodyswap, or whatever else you can think of! ||

Bracelet boys with...emmm what is the term of the girls in this case? idk lolololol

Serena and Yuri are one of my favorite characters of ARC-V!! They are so cool--- and funny too! (Even so, i like Serena more-- she is just so cool...)

My headcanons for this Role Swap: -Serena probably is more cruel and don't care about the war, the only thing that she is interested is in making the Professor happy.

-Yuri doesn't care about the war or the professor, he just wants to get out of Academia (He probably most of the time is locked in a special room, bcs the professor needs him for the proyect) -Serena is aware that she is a part of Ray, and isn't worried about disappear after the proyect is done.

-Leo don't know the whole thing about Ray and Zarc, he thinks that Zarc is the villain- Sadly, for his desfortune he is gonna learn that his daugher is the villain in this story

-In this universe, Ray was a pro-duelist that can feel the feelings of the monsters, she go crazy because of all the bad feelings that many monsters have(? idk i really don't know how this can work. Zarc with the help of the power of his dragons fight Ray and in their battle the original dimension split up in 4

-Lunalight Cat Dancer in this universe is more generic monster in terms of summoning, nows requeirs 2 monsters of dark attribute. And the condicion of tributing a "Lunalight" monster to activate her effect, can be now used with the condicion of tributing any monster and not only "Lunalight" monsters.

And yes, Yuzu is the main protagonist in this universe-

@arcvmonth Day 27: Square Zero!

It's always fun to speculate on what Zarc and Ray were to each other. Did they know each other before Zarc lost his mind? Did they ever duel before then? Was it just passing by each other in waiting rooms before their next duel? Were they possibly romantically involved or the feelings their counterparts have for each other due to growing up in proximity to each other? Or even some twisted subconscious knowledge of being the only people left from the original dimension around them?

Sometimes I wish we knew more about them, but I think the mystery surrounding them is so much more alluring. So much of Arc V can be left up to speculation and theory and I think that's a big reason why I love it so much.

ARC-V Month Day 2: Kahyoreigetsu

YGO ARC V day 4: Merriest Band of Misfits!

My favorite band of misfits has got to be Yuzu and Sora! These two are honestly the funniest duo, Sora is childish yet sarcastic, and Yuzu is short-tempered with a sweet side!! These two fuse together into quite the chaotic duo (see what I did there?)

i firmly believe if CG artists become unionized hollywood is fuuuuuuuuuuuucked lol <- is a completely good thing and cg artists deserve fair pay and compensation and also enjoy good lives for the work they do and also movies will look better if hollywood has to actually figure out what will be best for their scenes rather than hopscotching around various unions to make their movies

Nothing says platonic rivalry like having a

It’s interesting to me that when Reed’s EN voice was shown off there was annoyance/disappointment from people about her not having an Irish accent. Then we get to the new event and we find out that it’s a plot point. Reed very explicitly sounds like a Victorian, not a Taran. Until she speaks/sings Taran no one knows that she’s a Taran. She’s a minority passing as the majority. She’s assimilated. Even when it’s revealed that she’s Taran, she’s still treated as separate due to the implied class privilege that allows her to speak like she does.

I love how this helps to emphasize the ongoing theme/question of the event, “What makes someone a Taran?” They talk repeatedly about how the Taran language has been widely obliterated. Their stories relegated to folk tales and avant garde art that’s seen as revolutionary. The Victorians have removed all bits of culture that makes a Taran, and spread them from their homeland through Victoria. In this situation, how could they know who else is a Taran? How could they know they’re a Taran? The Tarans have been made into an underclass with the majority of them poor. Their cultural struggle has become a class struggle and it is through this lens that many see themselves as “Taran”. Is the person who runs the factory that grinds up Taran lives for a better profit margin still Taran? What about the nobles who fund Taran art but otherwise speak the Victorian tongue, wear their clothes and otherwise ignore the plight of the Tarans? What makes Reed Taran? And how does this affect whether she’s qualified to lead the Tarans to salvation?

It also handily plays into how no one who doesn’t know to look for it doesn’t recognize her as a Draco. If Reed doesn’t call herself a Draco and own the flames inside of her, then is she still a Draco? What really makes a Draco and a Vouivre different? This event is a struggle for identity, and doesn’t really have answers to these questions. But it still provides a certainty with the path forward for our characters, and maybe that’s more important than answering these questions?

On a side note, I love the point where a character grumbles about the three stupid Vouire standing up for each other, but only one of the characters is actually a Vouivre.

This feels like the start to a horror movie and I love it
