i bought an echo and a wifi lightbulb just so i could say “computer, turn off the light” instead of getting out from under the covers to flip the switch

problem found: my husband keeps yelling for the echo to play certain songs before he enters the bedroom so he can have entrance music appropriate to his mood

this sounds like the opposite of a problem

quick protip: if someone is crying or freaking out over something minor, eg wifi not connecting, can’t find their hat, people talking too loud, do NOT tell them how small or petty the problem is to make it better. they know. they would probably love to calm down. you are doing the furthest possible thing from helping. people don’t have to earn expressions of feelings.

I’m just gonna put it out there that if someone’s freaking about something small, they’re really freaking out about something big that they’re trying to deal with, or something long term that’s been building up, and that little thing is the straw that broke the camel’s back.

I don’t know, try and give people the benefit of the doubt. Don’t be the next straw on their broken back.

Needed this today.

People don’t actually go from 0 to 60. If you think they did, you have failed to notice how long they’ve been at 59.

What kind of construction lines do you use for drawing dynamic poses like your dancing Voltron ones? I’m terrible at drawing full bodies and can never get the proportions right.

1. Find the envelope of the action - the largest shape, or bounding shape, that the figure is constrained within.

2. Start to find lines of action/energy, and basic shapes within the pose. Find angles, analyze negative and positive space, see what lines up with what.

3. Start sketching in the loose, rough gestural lines. KEEP IT ALL LOOSE. NO DETAILS YET.

4. Still keeping everything loose and rough, add in the basic clothing shapes and folds. KEEP IT SIMPLE - do not just guess where folds are, or throw in random folds that don’t exist. Always refer back to the reference image.

5. Add details and tweak your sketch!
