I asked moonlit this question and we decided that if they were both to age regress at home they would probably just sit and stick close to each other, too afraid to be apart from one another or go anywhere.

Regression in this case would be the boys reverting to a child-like state to deal with stress.

Being robots, it is a sort of behavior they adopted from taking care of the little ones. The children get scared or upset, they are given comfort. If Sun or Moon are scared or upset, one will give comfort to the other.

Over time, this became a coping mechanism after long and stressful days. Especially after having to visit Parts & Services.

Of course he does! Sun applies his talents during the reading circles to when he reads stories to a regressed Moon. He's always pleased when he makes Moon laugh.

Moon very much prefers stories with happy endings so many of the stories are the kid-friendly takes on Brothers Grimm tales.
