De plek waar ik ooit ben begonnen met schrijven, lang voordat ik het met andere mensen durfde te delen. Inmiddels ben ik 8 jaar en een studie Creative Writing verder en is het zover: ik ga afstuderen met een eigen bundel!! En dat wil ik natuurlijk ook heel graag met jullie delen, aangezien jullie de reden zijn dat ik ben doorgegaan met schrijven <3 De bundel heet 'Geef geen namen aan koeien die je van plan bent te slachten' en bestaat uit gedichten, fragmentarisch proza, korte verhalen, catalogi, lijstjes, routebeschrijvingen en meer. De bundel gaat over drie vrienden die samen als buitenstaanders opgroeien in een dorp, over een vluchtmisdrijf op een veulen, over melktanden, over het jaar van de Rat en vooral over iemand die probeert om onvoorzichtig te worden. De boekjes zijn te koop vanaf €15 per stuk. Ik werk volgens het pay-what-you-want-principe waarbij je zelf kan kiezen wat je voor het boekje wil en kan betalen.

De boekjes worden per brievenbuspakket verstuurd en de verzendkosten zijn €4,10 voor NL inclusief track and trace en €7.75 voor België zonder track and trace. Daarnaast zijn ze eventueel ook op afspraak op te halen bij de finals expositie op ArtEZ in Arnhem van 30 juni-4 juli. Op 4 juli vindt ook de afstudeervoorstelling plaats van mij en mijn klasgenoten, die ook als livestream te bekijken zal zijn. Hou daarvoor onze instagram (@andthelilacbushes) of website (andthelilacbushes.nl) in de gaten! De afstudeervoorstelling is als het ware de 'release-avond' van alle afstudeerwerken, daarom zullen ze pas na die datum (dus vanaf 5 juli) op de post worden gedaan. Ook kan je mijn werk vertaald naar beeld vinden op de ArtEZ Finals expositie van 30 juni t/m 4 juli. Vervolgens stuur ik je een betaalverzoekje om de bestelling af te ronden, pak ik het boekje meteen in en verzend ik ze allemaal op 5 juli! Kan je nu al niet wachten tot ze verzonden worden? Hou in de tussentijd vooral mijn instagram in de gaten voor sneak-previews, lees een voorpublicatie uit mijn afstudeerwerk op Hard//Hoofd of luister naar de afspeellijst bij mijn afstudeerwerk om alvast in de sfeer te komen met muziek die ik luisterde tijdens het schrijven, voorkomt in de bundel of me inspireerde.  Ook is mijn afstudeerwerk samen met de boekjes van de andere geweldige afstudeerders van Creative Writing te bestellen in een voordeelbundel! Hoe meer bundels je bestelt, hoe hoger de korting. Reminds me of the time when of the elders from my hometown started touching a totem pole in the Museum of Anthropology out at UBC and got yelled at by the staff, only to tell him that the pole had been stolen off of the front of her bighouse when she was ten years old.

Museum collectors did the equivalent of kidnapping a family member when they were away fishing.

The Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act requires all institutions that receive federal funding to repatriate remains and artifacts so if you can identify the source of something on display absolutely get a hold of that institute’s repatriation office

Not many jnſtances of Punctuation - but for many Daſhes – et words Capitaliz’d for emphavſis, but not logicaly - ſpeeling and word Endings varied Gratelie - and the long S - ſ - vſed in at the ſtart and Centre of wordes - & the short “s” vſed only at the end - as with the U and V, and the I and J - but v and j only at the ſtart of wordes (we diſtinguishe not between Vouels and Conſonants, only decoratiue Letteres). Ye letter “y” being in lookes cloſe to an Olde letter “þ” which is vſed as “th” - Y may be vſed in the place of TH - but only ſparingly - and ſtill Pronounc’d the ſame as TH.
