@lifcspc

been awake since 530am, studying for our clinical diagnosis exam at 3pm. i just realized that i’ve been sitting there, actively doing recall, for straight 12 hours. ☠️

after the exam i’ve just been recuperating on the bed, watching business proposal 😌 ahhhh i’m so glad it’s the weekend and we have 2 more days to prep for our last two exams on monday!!!

5th march: what are your favourite shows? is there anything specific you like about them? my favourite anime are haikyuu, zankyou no terror, death note, hanasaku no iroha, sailor moon, and ao haru ride…my favourite shows are hirugao, i hear your voice, lost, my mister and so many more i can’t remember rn… i like depressing shows but also uplifting and motivational shows too. anything with depth and relatable plot/characters~ with good art/aesthetics

cute stationery websites!

If you’re obsessed with cute things (like I am) here’s a list of places you can purchase cute stationery. I’m not sponsoring any of these. They are just here for reference if you’re looking for new notebooks/sticky notes/other supplies for the upcoming school year! Most of these websites also cater to bullet journals as well!

These are the ones I can think of but if you have even more websites to add to the list, please feel free to!

my notebooks that i use for studying, sans candle :(

guys i'm so sorry that i didn't post as much as usual! i've just got a couple of exams and editing photos takes a while. don't worry, i'll go back to posting as normal soon!

also, my economics notebook isn't pictured because it's the ONE subject that i use a different notebook for (since i couldn't find another blue one) and the fact that it looks different to all the other ones irritates me SO MUCH.

A small guide for a more productive summer!!

*sorry if it’s short, messy or basic it’s my first masterpost… anyway,

For school,

  • Look up your syllabus for a head-start!
  • If you don’t have one already, start a bullet journal (I promise you it will be your bible).
  • Buy binders to organize last year’s work if –like me- you need it.
  • Go back-to-school shopping!!!

Productive activities,

  • Take up an internship in a field you’re interested in.
  • Exercise more often! You can organize an exercise routine and a diet. (try paleo, vegan, vegetarian diets)
  • Start a savings account?
  • Read an article about something you don’t already know about every single day or watch a documentary.
  • Assign a reading list. (make a goodreads account if you don’t have one already!)

Fun ideas,

  • Start a bucket list and be as imaginative as you want!
  • Learn something new; a language, an instrument, makeup techniques, anything!
  • Go cycling, learn yoga and dance more.
  • Go to the beach or have a picnic.
  • Draw, sing, paint or film.
  • Get in touch with old friends. ^ not the toxic ones!!
  • Visit a museum.
  • Write a book (even if it’s a short story, journal entries, collection of poems)
  • Have a yard sale (stop being a hoarder!!!)
  • Organize an event (e.g.: barbecue)

Remember:

Get out of your comfort zone…

Live a little…

Be grateful for every breath you take…

Enjoy the little things…

Breathe

i haven’t posted in a while… there’s goes the 100 days challenge… but what i think would be better for me is to focus on habits/goals in a shorter time frame! the second term of the year has started, and according to my physics teacher it would be “the most craziest term of [our] academic life”…

he said we would be finishing 5 topics this term (10 WEEKS) and that’s solely for physics…

one thing i struggle with is finding time to revise. after we finish a topic in school we just move to the next and it’s a hectic, overwhelming cycle. before i can review what i have learnt i need to rush on to the next topic.. i could go on about my local education system, but i guess i’ll have to deal with it.

this term i will do better. i want future me to thank present me for working hard today

Everyone is at least a little poor during college, so here are some tips to remedy the poor college student stereotype!

HOW TO SAVE MONEY:

Free Amazon Prime: If you’re a student, you can get 6 months of Amazon prime for free just by signing up with your .edu email address. This means that you get free two day shipping, which is especially great if you’re someone who likes to order textbooks through Amazon. If you would like to use our referral code to sign up for your Amazon student account, click here!
Bigwords.com: Bigwords is a website for finding textbooks. It’s fantastic because you’re able to search textbooks and Bigwords will compare the prices of the books all across the internet so you’re sure to get the cheapest price. I always use this for buying my textbooks and I highly recommend checking it out before you buy your books.
Share textbooks: Speaking of textbooks, you can save a TON by sharing a book with someone else. Some books cost 200+ dollars, and you really don’t want to pay that all yourself, so offer to split the price with someone you sit near during class! (This is also a great method for making friends during class)
Thriftbooks.com: Thriftbooks is a website that has second hand books (mostly novels) and it’s amazing if you have required reading for an english class. Most of the books are incredibly inexpensive, and the best part is the shipping is 100% free.
Student discounts: Student discounts are offered in many places, but sometimes you don’t know about them until it’s too late. For a short list of some places to take advantage of student discounts, click here.

HOW TO MAKE MONEY:

A campus job: This one is super obvious, but if you’ve been hesitant about getting a campus job, I recommend trying it out. Typically they’re very understanding and willing to work around your schedule, and you can get as little or as many hours as you need. Plus, it’s a great addition to a resume if you don’t have much experience.
Participate in Studies/experiments on campus: Your school’s Psychology department is always looking for participants for their studies. Sometimes they’re kind of weird, but if you qualify you can make $10 or $20 in a short amount of time.
Tutor, either in-person or online: It’s easy to get started tutoring on your campus if you’re particularly good at writing or a certain class, but you can also offer tutoring via skype or other online methods. You can also set your own prices, and some people make up to $20/hour tutoring. It’s definitely something to consider if you have free time because this is also a fantastic resume builder.
Take commissions: Are you good at drawing or writing? Are you at least somewhat average at drawing or writing? Then chances are you can offer commissions.
Offer to drive people to the store: If you’re fortunate enough to be someone who has a car on campus, it’s super easy to find people who need a ride to the grocery store or elsewhere. Charge them $5 each and you can make $20 just by driving a few people a short distance!
Offer to do other people’s laundry: College students are LAZY and they will PAY people to do their laundry for them. Yeah, it’s gross, but money is money. Besides, you have to do laundry anyway, so why not do someone else’s while you’re there?
Take online surveys: I’ve been using Opinion Outpost to do this. Opinion outpost is a 100% legitimate survey website where you can earn points for taking surveys and get rewards like amazon giftcards or paypal cash. Although this is a legitimate opportunity, it isn’t easy to get points. A lot of times you won’t qualify for surveys and you’ll get frustrated, but if you keep at it, you can earn $20 or more a week! If you would like to sign up using my referral code, click here!

BONUS- HOW NOT TO MAKE MONEY DURING COLLEGE:

Selling your notes/assignments/tests to other students/websites: The notes your teachers give you are protected under intellectual property laws, and selling them is just going to get you into a load of trouble. Aside from it being borderline illegal, you can have your grades in those classes revoked, and you’ll wind up in trouble with your university. It’s not worth it.
Doing other people’s assignments/essays for them: Similar to the previous point, this might seem like something easy that you’d never get caught for doing, but if you did, you could potentially ruin your entire college career. Offer tutoring, it’s safer and you aren’t straight up doing someone’s assignment for them.

That’s all I’ve got! If you have tips of your own feel free to add them!
