When I was a teenager when I lived with my parents, my bedroom was in the basement, and as such they didn’t particularly care what I did to my walls, ceiling etc
Which is why they didn’t care at all when, at age 13 in the mid-2000′s, I told them I was going to paint my walls with 6 foot tall murals of my favorite anime characters at the time.
Now, my parents have turned my old bedroom into a family room but refuse to cover up my adolescent shame, and every time I go over to visit I’m confronted with the troubling reality of the towering, hand-painted Inuyasha glowering at me from on high, reminding me I can never truly escape the sins of my past.
You asked, and I harangued my poor mother into getting pictures.
Notice how they DID paint the room, but left my… Beautiful artwork in tact.
And a hidden treat in the corner…
From when I had a brief and horribly misbegotten adolescent mega crush on Hiruma from Eyeshield 21
hey op that’s quality fucking artwork in terms of sheer technical skill that the fuck

Did you know that if your mouth itches when you eat kiwis, it is not from hairs left over on the fruit after you peel it? I didn’t until I was about 26 or so!
Confusingly, pineapple is supposed to feel like that, the damn thing is attempting to digest you right back.
Tips for Overcoming Fear and Anxiety
1. Start small, and take the first step. You are on a journey. This is just the beginning. You only have to start.
2. Have faith in yourself. At least you’re brave enough to try. If you’re patient and keep trying you will get there in the end.
3. Make a list of all your fears so they’re not formless and vague. It is easier to fight them if you know what you are fighting!
4. Accept that life is hard, and fear is natural and normal. Every person who succeeds will have to face and deal with fear.
5. Remind yourself of your successes and the ways in which you’ve changed. You have triumphed and succeeded over obstacles before.
6. Remind yourself of those who love you and believe in you. They know that you can do it – so derive some strength from them.
7. Imagine how you’ll look and how you’ll feel when you’ve succeeded. It is WORTH making the effort. Don’t give up: you’ll reach your goal!
earlier this year 2 boys got expelled from my school for going on a teachers email and sending another teacher an email that says “you’re a disgusting little man” and i laugh about it all the time because imagine opening an email from your coworker and thinking it’s important and then it says that
The sentient 8 month mold in the back of my fridge I’ve been avoiding
I tell everyone this and I mean it. Buy a journal. Carry it with you everywhere you go. And I mean everywhere. Write about your favorite moments, your least favorite moments, ideas, grocery lists, people you’ve met, strangers you’ve walked past on the street, favorite quotes, words to remember, what the sky looked like at 7pm, new songs you’ve discovered and what they mean to you, your childhood, places you want to go or places you’ve been, write about your passions, how you feel in this exact moment, draw out the mountains, scribble all over the pages. And when that one gets full, buy a new one. Reread it in 2 years, 20 years, when you need a good laugh, when you’re crying on your bathroom floor, read it to your children. You need to remember these moments in your life. They are so important.
