I feel like talking about this because it’s kind of technically probably a bad character design.
Giving the show characters the redesigns of the movie is so jarring to see because some of the characters in the movie had vastly different personalities. Seeing these designs in the original ninjas feels really out of place, as they were designed for the different personalities of the movie ninjas. (I feel I’ll be at equal or even greater discomfort when Garmadon is revived, because show!Garmadon and movie!Garmadon were vastly different.)
If they wanted to keep the movie designs why couldn’t they just make shorts about the movie universe? Heck, maybe make a special that connects the two universes or something.
TL;DR: Please give your characters’ personalities matching appearances. I cannot unsee movie!Nya and movie!Jay.
