i was gonna write up a little thing about caesar from new vegas about how people being like "hmm he kinda has a point though" is deeply worrying for the media literacy of our average gamer goon in the modern era. but i realized that no, i'm on tumblr here, i'm preaching to the choir, and whatever i say will never be as funny as this meme; so here

best thing tumblr ever did for me is the term "rotating it in my mind". it's really true that sometimes you think about something real hard but you can't tell what the thoughts are exactly. it's revolutionary stuff, i might even say

sometimes the subject of your thoughts is just in this thing

since ed-e is a robot and blessedly free from human notions of gender i think it's fun to play fast and loose with how we do apply gender to that funky lil eyebot. ed-e doesn't necessarily need to be a he/him or anthropomorphized as a scrawny white boy, ¿sabes?

but making ed-e into a victoria's secret model just doesn't feel like a creative reinterpretation so much as someone going "everything in this game needs to be aesthetically and/or sexually appealing to me" and isolating themself from. idk. rusty eyebots and realistic depictions of women

there's also something that rubs me wrong about making ed-e specifically into this idealized woman bc ed-e doesn't talk. ed-e and rex are in the same category of being like a pet that makes this feel different from makeover mods for the humanoid companions

what i propose for if ed-e was humanized...

just a lil creeture.. who is out for blood .

My absolute FAVE thing about seeing people's fo4 edits of the prewar tutorial area, is that you'll have this magnum quntress sole survivor with the sharp makeup and lips colored red red with the dior rouge 999 and gorgeous hair made perfect with only THE most expensive products... and then you'll see the untouched Nate in the bg looking as generic as a composite image of every white early 30s man in america and it's like... Well. We know who's dying today.

I cannot stress enough to Tumblr staff that they do not need to change the site. Do not try to be like Twitter. Do not try to be like Reddit. Do not alter how this site works.

Tumblr will be the most popular social media site if they continue letting all these other sites implode

Some character designs with some…atypical color choices? I guess. I don’t know what’s going on in that area.

This is Nimona and her supervillain friend (He doesn’t have a name yet, I’m working on that). Nimona is his sidekick/squire, they’re like the Batman and Robin of slightly Medieval villains, but she’s actually way more evil than him. He does what he does to make a point, and he doesn’t really want anyone get hurt - Nimona just gets a kick out of destroying stuff.

I’m going to attempt to make a two page comic with them? We’ll see how this goes.
