I work with kids. These kids are at my program before and after school, and then some of them have sports/dance/music sometimes all of the above before they finally go home, eat dinner, and go to sleep. Then rinse and repeat everyday, and games and more classes on the weekend, etc.
I’m all for extracurriculars, but this turns into the teen who is not only in the school play, but they’re on the newspaper, the football team, and seven different clubs. In college they take double the courseloads, and then once they graduate…what?
They work themselves raw because they arent used to downtime. They’ve been told they can always be doing something, and they don’t know how to relax. This turns into the adult that has anxiety because there’s nothing left to clean, the adult that desperately wants to watch that TV show but can’t force themselves to sit long enough for it.
Then they turn into the moms and dads who spend all their free time ferrying their kids to extracurriculars.
Like, these kids don’t know what downtime is? I told a kid I did nothing last weekend, and he looked at me like I was crazy. He asked what I was doing this weekend and I said “Probably sleeping, mostly,” and he actually gasped. Then he rattled off a bunch of things I could do, to which I had to stop him.
“No, you don’t understand. I plan on sleeping. I’m booked.”
“But you could–”
“Nah. I’m just gonna rest.”
It was as if I had said a bad word or something. I asked what he does when he gets sick, and he says he goes to practice anyway. I asked him what he does if he doesn’t feel like going, and he said he goes anyway. I asked when he takes time to rest, and he said when he sleeps at night.
Bring back lazy Sundays. Bring back Saturday morning cartoons. Bring back the idea of relaxing and soaking in your day before moving into the next thing. Bring back the right to breathe, the right to rest.
Bring back mental health days, and taking a break. Bring back taking a walk or watching a show or setting a timer to remind yourself to stop cleaning and relax.
If you’re running at 100% all the time with no time to recharge, then your battery is going to die spectacularly, and probably at the worst possible time.

Something someone said the other day about how Joker's the only one to actually *kill* god, that the others were convinced or sealed away, made me think- if Nyx isn't dead, just sealed, doesn't that mean Ryoji isn't 100% dead and gone either?
To my knowledge, 3 was the first one to show a non-human being gaining a life on this side. First it was Ryoji, then Teddie and Marie, and Morgana after that. Teddie, Marie, and Morgana all find their place to belong among the Yu/Joker's groups, and...
I was just thinking, it's often talked about how they're trying to get Minato back, when medically afaik he's dead. But if Ryoji's not "dead" just "absorbed and sealed" then... why not him too? And even if it "should be impossible" since when have Persona users and Wildcards cared about that?
You know how the glasses Teddie makes the Investigation Team help them see past the fog of lies and through to the truth?
Well, Akira is seen wearing glasses for most of the game, and the only others who do are Futaba, who faces her Shadow in a very P4 style way, and Sumire, who spends most of the game in a "beautiful illusion" until she realises who she is, and starts wearing glasses again.
In other words, glasses are a shorthand for "seeing clearly."
Showing my bias, but- Akira takes his off in both the Yaldabaoth deal bad ending, and the vanilla good ending, in very obvious ways. Royal's true ending makes it less of a big telegraphed thing, also showing that his rebellion is always under the surface, making me see the other two as Akira somehow discarding his ability to see clearly in favour of something else. In the deal end, it's clearly due to his own distorted nature, but in the vanilla end? You can get this by - much like a good ending in P4, but not a True ending - not hitting all the flags for the third semester. So there's unfinished business he's leaving behind and choosing to forget.

NG+ where both Akira and Akechi are aware of what's going on. To a casual onlooker they might be mistaken for accomplices, but Akira refuses to work with the police (and also refuses to work for Shido) and Akechi refuses to side outright with the Phantom Thieves.
What's actually going on is that they've been told that they have one shot at fixing anything, buy if they stray too far from the way things went the first time, it's game over.
So basically, they can go through the motions while at the same time knowing exactly what's going on, and talking to each other in double-speak. Sometimes outright doing the "same thing" but with different words, or meanings entirely.
And now I'm thinking that they get around "Akechi's supposed to die" by having him hide out in the Velvet Room (unsure, might be counterproductive) or just plain laying low during that time. Christmas date in Leblanc, anyone?

Threads is the Hot New Garbagedump by Certified Scum Of The Earth and Facebook/Meta owner Zuckerburg. It is like if twitter was even worse.
There is ONLY a For You page, meaning you can never just see the posts from your followed accounts who, yknow, you followed for the purpose of seeing their posts.You can't see those. you have to see the algorithm's posts ONLY. You also require an instagram to get full access to all the features like Posting Images. You need a separate social media account to properly access this new social media. And once you've done so, the only way to delete your Threads account, is to delete you instagram account. The Whole Thing. For Some Fucking Reason. Not to mention, obviously since it's zuckerburg, the thing syphons your personal information like crazy, worse still than twitter.
Like ALL your data. as much as it can get. (Love that it says "Other Data" btw. Nice subtle way of saying "whatever else we want") ALSO wouldn't you know it? It's fucking banned in the EU because it violates a bunch of fucking privacy laws!! So it's DEFINITELY not safe to use!
It is as predatory and exploitative as can be, created by someone that we collectively agreed Sucks Shit and Has No Empathy For Human Life and Individuality, and nobody should be touching it with a ten foot pole let alone sign up for it. Not even to test the waters or because it's where everyone is heading, or to see how bad it is for yourself. It doesn't matter if you're joining to get an account ready in case the platform ends up the new big thing. You're feeding the statistics. Even if you're not using that account, Zuckerburg can show the number of signups to shareholders and investors to prove to them that it's viable. Instead of jumping on the bandwagon in case it succeeds, inform people why they shouldn't join, to reduce its chance of success! It's like strikes and protests; The more of us get the word out, the more effective it'll be!
Please do your research and don’t blindly follow trends.
