Spock is Immortal

Main blog: future-subjunctive.tumblr.com This is a blog I've made in appreciation of Leonard Nimoy's life and work. Even though I sure have some odd ways of showing it. NB: If I haven't added a source to something, it either means that I made/captured...

He’s got that look on his face that you get when you can feel the urge to sneeze disappearing but you’re already committed to making the ridiculous sneezing face and there’s no going back, the only way forward is to compose yourself again and scowl in frustration because your body betrayed you

I hate that

@staff thanks for promptly replying to me reporting blatant anti semitism. Less thanks for saying you’d rather “maintain freedom of expression” than actually remove the incredibly offensive photo manipulation of a recently dead jewish man (Leonard Nimoy) giving a nazi salute.

Also, you give the advice that if I don’t like the content, block the person making it. That’d be great advice, except that I have blocked people in the past and you then immediately recommended those blogs to me.

Tumblr, you disappoint. Again.

This is sick.

hey if you can you should report this post by @dat-bucky-tho. they edited leonard nimoy’s image onto a photo of hitler as a “joke”, which is extremely antisemetic since nimoy was jewish man who lived through ww2. they’ve received a lot of messages about it but won’t take it down or apologise b/c its “supposed to be offensive”, so its probably best to just report it (+ block them maybe, especially if you frequent the star trek tags)

go to tumblr.com/abuse and click “content is gross/hateful” and then “malicious speech” and paste the url of the post and give a few comments as to why its offensive (if you’re not sure how to word your comment then look at some of the replies on the post)

This warms my heart. But this confuses me:

‘And then, when the re-boot of the Star Trek franchise was going to have a more bisexual spin between the characters, neither of the older actors blinked. In fact, in response to the bisexual relationship between Spock and Kirk, William Shatner told AfterElton.com, “Are you kidding? Who do you think has been writing all that slash fiction? Half of it was me, and the other half was Leonard.”

Co-screenwriter of the re-boot films, Robert Orci, said that the new origin movie “was always intended to be about Kirk and Spock, about their relationship. It’s more than a bromance, but whether it’s a full-fledged romance depends on how you interpret the scene where they share a bed. When we were writing the script, we referred to it as a blo-mance.”’

...what??
