What is your job? I saw one of your hourlies where you had a tablet at work? If you dropped out of school a few times and don't have a degree, how did you get an art job? I feel like I'll never be able to since i haven't finished school.

i work as storyboard artist, clean up artist and supervisor, color supervisor and other fun stuff at A.I. Animation Studios (we make Villainous for CN!!). i also make sure all the characters are in model heheh.as for the other thing, it was a pinch of luck and a loooot of effort, plus love for animation and art because believe me, a good portfolio and the best attitude will talk louder than a paper most times, so give art your best and learn as much as you can + be nice and it will take you far. 👍

Que me recomiendas para colorear en digital ? PD: Admiro demasiado tus dibujos :3

yo uso Paint Tool SAI, pero Photoshop es una muy buena opcion tambien!!

How did you become an artist after you dropped out? I already dropped out of uni once because it wasn't really working for me, my plan is to work during this year (if I actually manage to get a freaking job) so I can save money and move out and attend art school. I'm motivated but whether or not I can find a job depends on me only partially, and I'm constantly worried that I'm like "too old" to actually do anything with my life ;;

the whole "youre too old for this" is garbage, youre never too old to achieve what you want believe me, we all move faster or slower and its not a bad thing.also i... have always been invested in art and have always wanted to do big things with it, so after i dropped out i just kept doing what i was doing without the pressure. i do hope you get that job tho!!

hello! you don't have to answer if you don't want to. I am in my third semester of studying design. but it's really exhausting and I realized that it's not at all what I want to do. in the other hand, (in Germany) you get paid more when you finally get a job after studying. I want to drop out but I'm also scared that I won't earn enough money in the future if I do. did you regret dropping out of art school? do you think I should continue?

i never went to art school (i was in a crappy graphic design uni at my hometown that didnt really teach me anything), and in Mexico a similar thing happens (youre even told you wont get a job unless you graduate) but! theres not a single day i regret dropping out honestly, doing so helped me achieve the dreams i wasnt gonna find there or even on my hometown, but it all depends on HOW BADLY you want to achieve those dreams and how far youre willing to go for them, and you also need to be open to learning from any possible source. in my opinion theres not really a completly right way to do art, so even if a school can help (and a LOT), you can also learn from anywhere!also, your talent will speak louder than a paper most of the times. still, if you are able to, stay in school if its a good one!!
