Thank you everyone who support me i appreciate lots…shes feeling a little better now and is back to work so its no longer as urgent. Even so any thing can still help brcause things are unpredictable as with any illness so i will still leave this post up just in case

I’ve seen this kind of thing before and a lot of them are full of random weird shit you’d never make…because of time constraints or like, it just sounds super gross.

But this one had a whole section that’s just “Things on Toast”. Another that was all about putting crap in your oatmeal to make it better. Those are fairly pedestrian and don’t take forever.

I haven’t looked through the whole thing yet but so far it’s actually pretty practical. Also if you’re broke like me and don’t know how to make Dal, you should get on that.

hi if you're not following the terrifying saga that is my life i'm going to give a quick recap: we were given a 90 day notice earlier this year to vacate the place we live in, we have 47 days left on that notice. it's myself and my two kids in the place we're in now. i have been working very hard to make anything to put us ahead because i have bad credit and no matter where we go i will have to have a security deposit + first months rent. on top of all that, i still have to pay rent and bills at the place we're at up until we either find somewhere else or are actually evicted. so that has left me with next to nothing for any of these things and no ability to save.

Short story for those who have not seen the liveblogging as this has unfolded: my grandma died November 2021, responsibility for handling my grandpa’s & disabled uncle’s finances was handed over to my mom. She developed a serious gambling addiction and stole all of their money. My grandpa’s retirement check & my uncle’s disability payments, loans in their names, maxing out their credit cards. She has not paid a single one of our bills in several months, and didn’t tell us until recently when the house people called her & threatened foreclosure. The house is over $6000 past due. Mom swore to help catch up the payments but so far has fallen through on every promise, and threatened to kill herself sooo. Not expecting much.

I can’t post a lot of pics for my family’s privacy but this is thee only real home we have ever had. My grandma is buried in the backyard. My dog is buried in the yard. Not to be dramatically Native American but the gigantic tree my great x3 grandmother planted, which every generation has gathered & played under since, is in this yard. We NEVER imagined this house would ever leave our family. Ma nanka nei- I belong here, and I’m so afraid to leave.

Just made a kinda long update to the gfm but the short of it is: We’ve been able to pay $2,550 !!

We also put $500 each from my grandpa & uncle’s retirement & disability towards the house. I’m waiting for gfm funds to transfer but in all, we only have a little over $2,000 left on our past due balance. This is incredible & I really can’t thank you enough.

We did receive another letter stating we could lose our home before the $2,550 payment (sorry for the difficult to see pic, my grandpa took it)

My sister called them that day and explained everything. Up until then they’d only spoken to my mom who told them nothing. They still can’t give us a final due date before foreclosure or amount we can pay to prevent it bc the process hasn’t started yet, all they can tell us is that it will happen if we don’t catch up.

Hello everyone, I was attacked unprovoked on the Subway yesterday. I believe I was targeted because I was wearing my pride shirt work uniform I am also a bisexual woman with a very public presence on the internet and in the city as I am a performer at Ellen’s Stardust Diner in Times Square. I was beaten badly and taken to hospital by ambulance. It took two phone calls to 911 and an hour wait for police to arrive, so clearly my assailant got away. The cops also victim blamed me for the attack as if sitting quietly with your AirPods on is somehow not being vigilant enough at 3 o’clock in the afternoon on a busy subway car. But what else do we expect from the NYPD at this point. I have large bruises and giant swellings on the right side of my head, and it’s caused my vision to blur, my hearing is gone because my eardrum is filled with fluid and I am dizzy and nauseas all the time. Laying down is painful because of the contusions but sitting up is miserable too. Until my visions improves, my hearing returns and my bruises and swelling fade I don’t know when I’ll be able to return to work not even considering the fear of taking the subway now.
