art fight 2023 wrapup! at the start of this month i had the vague goal of beating my record number of attacks by one or two and ended up nearly doubling it. i am confused and exhausted and will never reach that level of productivity again. anyway congratulations to werewolf team bc we definitely destroyed the opposition. much love

wooo another one!! i have been thankfully feeling this way for a while now, but i am so happy with the direction my art is going. it doesn’t really show in this reflection, but i’ve been trying lots of new things stylistically, and it’s been so refreshing. this year was the busiest i’ve ever been by far but drawing has been such a relief, which is good, because i was secretly terrified that an art degree would kill my love of casually making art. it did not. i still really, really like drawing. so imma keep doing that. happy new year, everyone 💙

oh it happens before the game!! the embroidery is on the default yellow armor he wears at the very beginning. it's also never pointed out in-game; i never would have noticed on my own, but i downloaded the official cosplay guide for drawing references and saw some flavor text from lúnda that points it out

26: What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended? not a piece, but the caption on that critical role art i did of Cassandra getting attacked incited some. strange? discussion in the tags and comments to clear the air: yes, it was a bad thing that percy abandoned his baby sister. that was bad. the "betrayal" was not that she hated him for it. also it was a joke. please.

27: Do you warm up before getting to the good stuff? If so, what is it you draw to warm up with? no :( i should. but no :(

4: Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw i am Bad at drawing old men. or older people in general really. like i can do decent enough paintings of older people, i can capture a likeness if i throw a lot of detailing at it, but i really struggle with simplifying them down into my normal style. but i Like drawing older people. i sometimes get very bored of young people and their stupid smooth skin. like get some texture on there.
