“Look at my son isn’t he adorable?! (Don’t get to close tho he bites people)”

(Click for better quality)

1). My version of Home is 12ft tall making them the tallest character in welcome home.

2). They adore Wally and want nothing more than to keep him safe and happy.

3). He was the one that found Wally in the woods when he was just a baby and ever since they have formed an unbreakable bond with one another.

4). When Wally was a baby the only thing that would make him stop crying was when Home would lay him on their chest so that Wally could hear his heartbeat.

5). Home taught Wally how to draw and loves to paint with him.

6). He can be a bit overprotective such as not allowing Wally to go out at night by himself in case he gets hurt but overall is pretty chill about whatever Wally wants to do.

7). Wally doesn’t call Home “dad” or anything like that but simply just refers to them as “Home” because he feels right at home whenever their around.

8). Wally is incredibly spoiled by Home however even though he’s spoiled he’s not rotten lol

(You can thank @clownsuu and @sweetest-honeybee for inspiring me to draw my version of Home again. Halfway through the drawing I realized it looked like @partycoffin recent Welcome Home piece which in truth was unintentional but I still really love how it looks tho its almost like a reference to it)

It’s my birthday today and as a treat to myself I’m taking my Persephone design for a test drive

She’s telling him about her trip topside and probably spilling some tea about the other gods, Hades loves some solid gossip 🫣

Please accept these silly doodles I put some color on 🤲

I have a whole bunch, a few of them I really like I’m thinking of finishing up

But these were done and I didn’t want to wait to post them all together 😂

hi i sent an ask about persephone and hades a lil while ago!! heres some questions i had :3

1. how did they officially meet?

2. what were pain and panics first impressions of persephone?

3. persephone looks older then some of the other gods (like hera and aphrodite) is she older then them? i really like that you gave her some wrinkles :]

4. any issues that come up in p/h's relationship? like goals, little pet peeves, etc

5. how angry has persephone seen hades get? and vice versa, how angry has hades seen persephone get?

Hey!! Glad to have you back!!

1. I have this idea that their meeting is almost entirely by chance, in the series he loathes spring and tries to sabotage it and I really want to channel that energy into my funny little AU (which actually takes place post film) 😂 It’s during Spring that he officially runs into he, she’s just doing her Cthonic goddess thing and Hades is up top causing problems as per usual, when he sees her manifesting apricots on a tree, aaand obviously an unattended goddess is fair game! Sidenote but I like to think Eros is the one that gives him the low-down on who she is, kind of encourages him to make a move, mostly because it’s a welcome distraction and keeps him out of his hair.

2. They were extremely weary of her at first, the assumption was that anybody Hades brought home wasn’t going to be nice to them. Once they realize that’s not the case she pretty much becomes their favorite person.

3. Thank you!! I have gotten this question a lot! I like to think of Hades being somewhere in his early to mid-forties, and it just felt right to put Persephone somewhere in her thirties (leaning toward 33-34). I imagine her being quite stressed and possibly overworked most of the time, which has imbued in her a kind of maturity that makes her age difficult to peg on face value. Since I’m working with Disney logic rather than historical accuracy, I figured that was an appropriate age! I wanted her to be young enough that she found Hades’ idiosyncrasies endearing rather than immature, but still old enough that she wouldn’t be intimidated or put off by his outbursts. I don’t envision her being older than either of them, no, actually the opposite! But her job is much more “hands on” which I think makes her appear a little more weathered, if that makes sense?

4. Oh this is a fun one!! *rubs hands together evily* So naturally there’s issues because they are so different from one another! On one hand, I imagine Hades’ impulsive and impatient nature (along with the way he tends to take his frustration out on his poor minions) is a point of contention between the two of them. My Persephone’s personality is very dry, deliberate, even tempered and easy-going. She’s not easily irked, but I imagine when she is pushed into a corner her temper can be pretty ferocious. My mom always likes to say that spring “comes in like a Lion and goes out like a lamb” 😂 which is a very fitting description of this Persy! She doesn’t necessarily agree with Hades’ initial style of management, which obviously softens up over time as their relationship progresses. When it comes to goals! Persephone loves her solitude and independence, she’s a free spirit and the idea of being tied down bothers her. She doesn’t prefer the company of the Olympians and she finds their social politics/drama incredibly draining so I think the one major issue she would go into that relationship having is this fear of losing her autonomy and being trapped in an exhausting relationship. She waffles a little in the beginning, not quite committing to her feelings for him because she likes not having to be beholden to anyone. Hades’ goals I imagine change once he prioritizes her company. I think he’d be willing to give up his desire to overthrow Olympus to keep her around, so I definitely don’t think there’s much holding him back from being with her. After his massive blunder in the film, he has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Although I see them changing perspectives on eachother’s stations and therefore developing a deep respect for one another, I do think Persephone’s holistic lifestyle would get on Hades’ nerves in the beginning, and vice versa. They manage to find a balance that works for both of them. I also think Persephone would initially find him a little dishonest and pushy which would drive her crazy, as well as the way he picks on Pain and Panic. He doesn’t have an off-button either which she’d have to get used to. In the end though, they’re both the black sheep of the Pantheon and they find comfort, solace and understanding in one another. ❤️

5. Hades’ fuse is so short it’s practically nonexistent, so I imagine Persephone has seen him get angry a lot, but in my head I like to believe the angriest she’s every seen him was when he was coming to her defense against her mom (which is a sort of long story I’ll save for another time!). I think it’s the first time she feels it’s genuine, not simply an overreaction or irritation, but like actualrage. For Persephone, since her buttons are so hard to push, he’s probably only seen her truly angry a couple of times. I envision her being seriously unreasonable when she gets to that point though, and it takes her a while to cool off. I don’t have a specific event in mind for this (yet!) but I think one of the times she’s been absolutely livid is when he first draws up the agreement with Demeter to keep her for half the year in the Underworld. She hates the idea of feeling like someone has more control over her life than she does!

I hope that answers your questions!

So I say the Hercules au and I gotta ask, How does Hades change having her around? Is he completely different or mostly the same? Like does she ground his more megalomaniac tendencies? Were the events of the movie because she had to go on a family vacation with her mother and wasn't around to go 'no, babe, you don't hate your brother. Thats the stress and envy talking. You're better than that, and Zeus and Hera don't deserve that.'

'Eh, I hate em a little.'

'He annoys you, there's a difference.'

'Semantics!'

I’m so excited to answer this one I can’t even tell you, SO! ( Also I love the dialogue I gotta try and work that into a drawing one of these days)

First! I wanna preface my ramblings with my headcanon that Hades is actually a giant softie when it comes to women! Partly because of the way he treats Meg in a generally non-threatening manner in the movie. Meg’s not frightened or intimidated by him in the least and with the exception of a few minor blow-ups when he’s frustrated about his plans being thwarted, he really never does anything to put her in harm’s way. Sure, he’s a little skeevy and manipulative, but it’s never his intention to hurt her. Also partly because his flirting in the series is absolutely horrendous, like that man has never gotten any action and it’s obvious.

Anyway

I like to think he’s mostly the same, still sardonic and egotistical, but absolutely adores his wife. Like you said I imagine she softens out his rough edges and probably helps to curb his scheming, but generally speaking he’s the same Hades. 😂 His main motivation for wanting to take over Mount Olympus is because the Underworld is a miserable place, if he had some incentive to stay there and have it be less cold, dark and lonely I genuinely feel like he’d be comfortable there.

I don’t think Persephone ever tries to change him though, it just naturally happens this way. She likes that he’s a little out there and a little full of himself, his confidence and cleverness is attractive to her! She might even come off a bit indifferent to his beef with Zeus, since the Olympians aren’t really her cup of tea anyway. I think Hades would appreciate and enjoy being around someone who wasn’t always standing on some false moral high ground!

Basically, she’s comfortable with her emo husband and supports his world take over, it keeps life interesting!

Originally I thought it would be funny to have the events of the movie be the result of Persephone spending the spring with her mom like the myth, but writing a sequel where Hades is the underdog struck me as having better story potential. Also I couldn’t get the timeline to quite work? With Hades planning this whole thing for eighteen years, it just didn’t make sense for them to have known each other before Hercules. 😂 Plus, the idea of all the gods working together to hook Hades up with a wife just to get him off their backs is such a funny concept to me!

Thank you so much for the ask!!

Persephone: “meets Pain and Panic for the first time and goes up to Hades holding them like babies” Hades we’re parents now..~

Hades: “doesn’t wanna tell Persephone he basically is Pain and Panic’s as he raised them since they were babies” um ok~…

Pain and Panic: “just lost as they just said hi to the boss’s wife and she instantly scoops them up and adopts them as her and Hade’s kids” eh?!?

Everyone is automatically her kid

My mom and I watched Hercules the other night and I thought it might be fun to try sketching a design for a Persephone since she doesn’t ever make an appearance in the movie

I did a bunch of doodles with Hades as well but I’m going to polish those up before I post them

She requested I draw him simping over her and honestly I couldn’t refuse

Here’s a collection of sketches/doodles I’ve been sitting on with my Persephone au 🙏 I have five more that couldn’t fit within the limit so I’ll share them in a separate post later tonight

I’m trying to flesh out what their interactions/dynamic are like and maybe I’ll go back and do some more polished pieces with them later

I’m in so deep, I have like this whole secret plot formulated in my head 🫣

Hades and Persephone comp! Im finally compiling the sketches I’ve done and im showin’ them off! I also had a bit of a story mapped out for them if anyones interested in hearing (it’s not done but it’s so much fun I hope y’all will like it 😁)❤️❤️
