!!PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THEIR HANDS!! They were so touchy! holding hands, Jackie sitting on his lap, his arm slung around her shoulders… Just always touching each other and this is great because it was so subtle but it shows how much they love each other aw !!

I would have loved to have seen more of their interaction as a couple alone because they were perfect but the interactions we did get were gold (”saying flowchart again”) unless they were out of character :/

Both Red and Hyde Punched a Guy for Their Girl

Can’t help but think that Kitty’s story about how Red punched out a doctor when she first started working at the hospital is similar to what happened on Veteran’s Day with Hyde and Jackie.

There are some differences though, of course, Kitty and Red were already dating (probably close to engaged) when Red punched out this doctor, while Hyde and Jackie had yet to go on their first date yet. However, there’s still the big similarity which is Red and Hyde punching out a guy to defend Kitty/Jackie.

Also, Kitty mentions (later in the episode) that she saw what happened, Maybe her seeing Hyde punching Chip reminded her of when Red punched out the doctor for her and this further leads her to saying how she thinks that Hyde really does like Jackie, even though he’s afraid to admit.

And I think years and years later, it’s pretty easy to imagine Jackie retelling the story of how Hyde punched Chip to her and Hyde’s kid, the same way we see Kitty retelling her and Red’s story to Eric.

Side Note: It’s interesting that both these scenes come from Season 3 with only 5 episodes between them. Maybe the writers were trying to make these connections between Hyde and Jackie’s new relationship and Red and Kitty’s long established one.
