So I found this coconut on the beach in Costa Rica and when I opened it THIS was inside. I think it’s the endosperm (or whatever you call the thing that develops into the tree). The coconut water itself wasn’t as sweet as usual (probably because it had sprouted), but the little sprout boi tasted sweet on one end and salty on the other. (submitted by @jewishpangolin)

dude i have no idea how to tell you this but i have no idea what this is. i showed this to my plant anatomy professor and one of the mods at @thebashfulbotanist after class and none of us could figure out what this is. it doesn’t look like a fungus, the embryos in coconuts are tiny and don’t look like this, and the first thing a coconut sprouts is a root, not the stem, and it grows outward. there should be nothing normal like this growing in there. my plant anatomy teacher has never seen anything like this and has offered to forward this image to a palm researcher she knows to see if he has. i repeat, we have no idea what you ate but it was not a normal sprout boi. please stand by

This is perfectly normal! Here’s a diagram:

And a model:

The submitter is fine! They just got it at an earlier stage of development. The haustorium is very much edible, and is typically sold as sprouted coconut.

They say something big hit the gulf of Mexico and killed all the Dinosaurs.
Look at the top of the picture. Millions of years before the end of dinos something really big hit with a Force that appears to have fractured the earths crust, creating Hudson Bay, the shock wave so Severe, as it spread north creating islands then bursting west fracturing the frozen tundra. What ever it was it is evident to the Great Lakes and possibley fractured the Canadian Shield!

I always dying from this moment.❤Especially from his face.😍 It's beautiful and painful. I see here love, of course, and trust, and tenderness and bit pain... And I see not only Mulder and Scully here😊 Helpless against my feelings.

u know when i was 12 i just kinda assumed the cullens' cover story worked bc a 23 year old is obviously an Adult and no one would question why or how he adopted like five kids between the ages of 17 and 20 but now that im in my 20s i have come to the conclusion that everyone in forks knows the cullens are vampires bc they all took one look at carlisle "i look like im fresh out of undergrad but im a doctor i swear" cullen and his gaggle of nearly-adult "children" and collectively called bullshit

i just thought everyone was like "oh yikes a cult" and minded their business

cullens: we are a family but also date each other and our parents are barely older than us and we take collective hikes on school days and don't interact with people except this new kinda loner girl :)
