Entering an uber alone? Call your father (or anyone you trust) and say “hey dad! Yep, I’m almost there, I’m sending you the route.” outloud. Then proceed to send them the route so they can follow the uber drive. This will most likely intimidate the predator.

If you see someone in an uncomfortable or possibly dangerous situation, walk up to them and say “Betty, oh my god, I haven’t seen you in so long!”. If she gets slightly confused, you can whisper and let her know you’re trying to help and that she should follow along. Walk together to another station or away from where you are. The man will most likely not follow. I have done this one 2 times and can be very helpful.

If you are unsure she needs help, you can pass her a note saying something like “hey, I noticed this man beside you is making you uncomfortable. If you’d like help, fake a sneeze right now and I will come up to you and pretend we are friends.” This is a long note, but its an example. Be discrete. If she follows along, proceed with the previous tip. This is helpful when you’re in a crowded train and you notice harassment.

Help your sisters. Trust them. Trust yourself. Be safe.

2. Contact family and friends. Now is not the time to worry about being a burden. Your survival and safety comes first and that is all that matters, anyone worth having in your life will agree.

3. Start a gofundme. Even if someone can’t offer you a place to stay, they might be willing to toss out $5 so you can eat today.

4. Libraries have free wifi. Apply to any and all jobs you can think of if you aren’t already working.

5. Any home is a good home. Even if it’s a dingy apartment in a bad neighborhood. If its cheap and you can afford it, snatch it up. 

6. Pancake mix and peanut butter are filling, cheap, and last a long time.

I’ve had friends drop me off at places where i don’t live, because i didn’t want to trouble them anymore than i have

People have gotten my name wrong when ordering food or like anybody at all and I don’t correct them so they think my name Alice when it’s actually Allison

I’ve decided to sit in the car during social events so I won’t have to interact with anyone, but I still got weird stares from people walking by, so I would lean my seat all the way back so no one could see me.

said i had to go somewhere then walked five miles to my house

Stared down someone who was trying to talk to me. QwQ

Ordered food through the drive thru and then sat in my car in the parking lot to eat

Ordered like 20 dollars of food in a drive through, paid for it, was asked to pull up past the window and park so they could bring it out to me when it was done, panicked because I didn’t know where exactly they wanted me to park, drove away and went home 

i picked up a 90~100 kg goods trolley bc i didn’t want to inconvenience the person asking if i needed help. i’ve also accidentally ordered 20 chicken nuggets instead of 10, had the name ERI for a drink order, and gotten $2 cashout instead of $10. send help.

I do that thing where I open my mouth to say something, close it, and repeat until the conversation is over because I don’t want to seem loud or rude.

One time I crawled under tables all the way to the exit on a social event just because it was too much, there were like a dozen tables,younger children started to mimick me,and parents weren’t happy

Skipped multiple meals so that nobody judges me for getting the exact same thing that everyone does in the canteen, NEVER take a second serving, even if I’m hungry so that nobody judges how much I eat, and not refilling my water bottle so that I don’t have to awkwardly stand in line.

If I’m with my friends or my girlfriend and even my mom or my sister and we’re going to eat I’ll make them order my food

my friend maggie is an thai american 19-year old trans girl who rly needs money for hormone therapy right now.  i made a post about maggie’s gorgeous bird earlier, but i also need to highlight her NEED for treatments. she recently started HRT (hormonal replacement therapy) on her own, in secret (her religious parents are against her transition, and have tried to prevent it). she knows delaying it until after college will harm her quality of life in the long term. as a teenager, she can’t easily afford blood tests and hormones. i’ve helped her where i can, but it’s not enough. she has been paying for them with her full-time job when she can, but has had to stop a few times when she couldn’t gather enough money. i’m passionate about seeing her get the help she needs. please donate, or spread awareness if you can !! anything helps, $1, $2, $5. even exposure. you can also contact her at her own personal email with encouraging words.
