Her name is Yuba.🐱

She's a very friendly, moody, and cute cat-girl beastfolk.

However, she doesn't like being petted overly and persistently.

What able bodied authors think I, an amputee and a wheelchair user, would want in a scifi setting:

  • Tech that can regenerate my old meat legs.
  • Robot legs that work just like meat legs and are functionally just meat legs but robot
  • Literally anything that would mean I don't have to use a wheelchair.
  • If I do need to use a wheelchair, make it fly or able to "walk me" upstairs

What I actually want:

  • Prosthetic covers that can change colour because I'm too indecisive to pick one colour/pattern for the next 5+ years.
  • A leg that I can turn off (seriously, my above knee prosthetic has no off switch... just... why?)
  • A leg that won't have to get refitted every time I gain or loose weight.
  • A wheelchair that I can teleport to me and legs I can teleport away when I'm too tierd to keep walking. And vice versa.
  • In that same vein, legs I can teleport on instead of having to fiddle around with the sockets for half an hour.
  • Prosthetic feet that don't require me to wear shoes. F*ck shoes.
  • Actually accessible architecture, which means when I do want to use my wheelchair, it's not an issue.
  • Prosthetic legs with dragon-claw feet instead of boring human feet or just digigrade prosthetics that are just as functional as normal human-shaped ones.
  • A manual wheelchair with the option to lift my seat up like those scissor-lift things so I'm not eye-level with everyone's butt on public transport/so I can reach the top shelf by myself.
  • A prosthetic foot that lights up when it hits the ground like those children's shoes.

Merry Craftmas #4

I went through 4 patterns before I found a hat pattern I liked and could read. After I made one it was easy to fall into making a bunch more whenever I had free time. The pattern might look familiar- its from the same place my lemon peel scarf is from. Again I fell in love with the simple pattern and made it look more professional by making the brim and pom a secondary color from the body. The men in my family are notoriously hard to shop for so this was a good solution. Maybe next year they'll get a matching scarf or set of mittens next year

I thought I took pictures of all of them but I forgot wrapped them all ;-;

Hobby: Crochet

Time: 2-4 hours per hat

Pattern is here and definitely one I'll use again

Shout out to all the porn bots following me. You make me feel valid

Merry Craftmas #3

Hands were getting a little crampy from crochet so I used up a little item thats been in my supplies for way too long. Its been forever since I've painted and it felt good, I forgot how much I love it when I have the inspiration and something extra than a canvas.

My great grandma has the cutest christmas villiage made out of little odds and ends. Most of it is buildings are made from cereal boxes, and a couple trees I've felted a while ago for her. I hope she likes this new addition I've made for her

Project: painting

Date made: Dec 10

Time: 2 hours

The house is something I found from target last year

I somehow used just one skein in this scarf, so now I have an extra green to do something with. Making a scarf was very tedious so most days working on it were 30 minute bursts. I emded up loving the 'lemon peel' pattern and luckily it had a matching hat pattern! Project was simple and looks great, definitely one I'd make again for next year. My grandma is gonna love it

Hobby: Crochet

Started: Nov 16

Finished: Nov 30

Time: way too long

Pattern is here (thank you Burgundy and Blush)

Merry Craftmas 2022 #1

First project completed are a pair of wrist warmers for my sibling! They are into an alt/emo style so I went with a black and white stripe pattern. Hopefully it wont clash within any future aesthetic

Hobby: Crochet

Date started: Nov 14

Date finished: Nov 17

Time: 4 hours (i had to make a pattern ok)

Pattern here by me!

Striped Wrist Warmer Pattern

My family has big hands so I had a hard time finding a pattern. Most were for kids or baggy when I wanted something more snug. Heres a pattern for all you fellow big-handed people

Heres the side that shows how the transitions between stripes will look

━━━━━━♡you will need♡━━━━━━

  • Medium weight yarn in however many colors you want (i got ~100 g skeins from dollar tree and they were plenty. Could have made both from just one)
  • Size H/5mm/#8 crochet hook
  • Scissors

━━━━━━♡abbreviations ♡━━━━━

  • Ch = Chain
  • Sl St = Slip Stitch
  • SC = Single Crochet
  • DC = Double Crochet

━━━━━━♡pattern♡━━━━━━

Ch 2 will count as a Dc

Row 1: Ch 32, sl st last ch into first ch, ch 2
Row 2: Dc in each stitch (31 Stitches total) , joint with a sl st, ch 2 (here is where you put it on your wrist to make sure it fits how you want. If not, add or decrease 2 stitches at a time until the fit is right)
Row 3: Dc 30, join (color change now by slipping color B thru the sl st) , ch 2
Row 4: Dc 29, join, ch 2
Row 5: Dc 28, join (color change) , ch 2
Row 6: Dc 27, join , ch 2
Row 7: Dc 26, join (color change) , ch 2
Row 8: Dc 25, join, ch 2
Row 9: Dc 24, join, (color change) ch 2
Row 10-14: Dc 23, join, ch 2 (color change on rows 11 and 13)
Row 15: Dc 19, ch 4, skip 4 stitches and sl st to the first stitch of row 15 (color change) , ch 2
Row 16: Dc 23, join, ch 2
Row 17: Dc 23, join, finish project

I hope none of that was too confusing, this is my first time making a pattern. If theres anything unclear please tell me amd if you use this I definitely want to see how it came out. Happy crafting!
