i can name many things that are different
1. the france protests are called and supported by labour unions, the american protests are called by sketchy organisations that exist literally just for protests, and never attempted to get the support of labour, partly because america barely has organised labour and partly because half of the america protests' demands were actually aimed at white working class people to unpack their knapsacks and attend more racial sensitivity trainings at work or whatever. the american organisations were created at the time of the protests in question and its money never went anywhere.
2. the bourgeoisie, in contrast to the working class who were alienated by the american movement's messaging, ran and tripped over each other to endorse the america protests, even if only symbolically. every celebrity hashtag was celebrated as a victory by the movement overall. by contrast, the french bourgeoisie don't seem to be as on board with this
3. the france protests have a concrete demand of putting the retirement age back where it was. the america protests had no actual political program -- "abolish the police" was a minority tendency, and does not count as a political program, since it only existed to make the much more reasonable-sounding (though still impossible) demand to defund the police look way stupider. the movement itself did not acknowledge the lack of political program as a problem, which is what the american left has been doing since occupy wall street and hasn't accomplished shit the entire time. at this point it's intentional.
4. the america protests, being organised around identity, allowed members of the mascot identity group to gain control over the movement based mostly on skin-deep resemblence or in some case family relation to a relative handful of martyrs who, being dead, could not speak for themselves
5. partly because of this the america protests became about the election and clearly endorsed a certain political candidate. a candidate who didnt even support the protests or anything but is best known for standing next to a black person. after they won the election the protests stopped.
so it's not really even similar. the only thing the movements have in common is spectacle but while america's was manufactured and directed for the specific purpose of being a spectacle france's actually has working class organisation and a working class program. america doesn't have protests like france does because america thinks its bourgeois protests are the same as france's proletarian protests so it falls for false flags like this
the people in the notes of this offering excuse after excuse of how brutal the american police are are missing the point that the movements they are talking about literally make no effort at all to outreach to or involve the working class in any like decision-making process at all. there's so much more work that goes into organising than just showing up to some protest called by a shady NGO and like whatever else you can say, french labour unions do that work and american labour unions don't exist and if they did, "activists" would only ever talk to them to lecture them
Like part of this is yes absolutely people just "expressing their opinion" for its own sake but also the western idea of social change is essentially a cargo cult where if they protest loud enough Social Progress automatically happens.
What really happens is that a big enough spectacle is created that the western intelligence community can achieve its objectives such as the destabilisation and overthrow of the "Regimes" of eastern Europe. But they literally don't understand the role of the intelligence community in this process and they think it happens by magic because God saw them protesting righteously and was moved by their love for "Democracy" or what have you.
They're essentially trying to impress God with their righteous action until He smiles upon them and brings them Social Progress. They don't have any idea what they're doing and they don't have any plan of action beyond being a nuisance and yelling really loud. They're not the Bolsheviks ready to close off the bridges and storm the Winter Palace.
They're literally just. Screaming really loud. Like as a form of prayer in an attempt to control "natural" forces beyond their understanding. It's not for them to pick or even understand the mechanism of social change. Only Democracy God can do that.
Unfortunately, Democracy God is the CIA, and their objective will only be achieved if it's also "God's" objective, and moreover, if God has spent years and decades organising within the country to make this happen through NGO's and what have you, but again, that's not for them to understand.
This is also what the colour revolutions of eastern europe and central asia were, and it's what the NGO-industrial complex increasingly ruling post-counterrevolution eastern europe is. I know several eastern Europeans who have become career rainbow-flag activists for NGOs making connections between themselves and other "activists" in other eastern European countries, literally and openly championing a pro-EU agenda and openly funded by the EU despite their countries not even being in the EU. So this is not something specific to America and in fact is even more obvious in eastern Europe than in America. It's just that in eastern Europe their base is impoverished LGBTs in their early 20s who don't know anything and make barely above average for an eastern european 22 year old, whereas in America it's black career activists trying to buy mansions in California with the donations that well-meaning allies make to their shady organisations.
