Mystery Box set

Today my Layton Mystery Detective Agency DVD box set arrived, so I now have unlimited access to all 50 episodes.

There are five boxes in total, each with two DVDs and a protective case.

Each box came with some goodies, which was actually the main motivation to buy it in the first place.

I received a cardboard standee of each character, which I find adorable. Nice to own some Emiliana and Hastings merch.

Each box is really nicely decorated with a picture of each character on the front and a chibi version on the back.

While tiny Layton is cute, I feel cheated out of chibi Emiliana. Where is she Level 5???

I also got booklets with information about each episode, a few postcards, a poster and even a recipe booklet.

So in conclusion I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought the German version so I'm unsure if other versions contain these goods. Let me know if you know. It would be a shame if they didn't.

They are handmade from polymer clay and covered in gloss varnish.

Today my cat discovered that if he pushes the button on the strange box, the funny creature will pop out to say hi!

He's done it about 10 times in a row.

I got about 5 Gudetama themed Christmas gifts!

This was actually my first time celebrating Christmas so it was super special!

Artbox Cafe

So, recently I spent a week in Briton to celebrate my sister graduating as a nurse.

What I didn't expect to find the world's cutest cafe right next to my hotel.

Turns out it is the first dedicated character cafe in the UK.

Naturally we all had to go.

(Don't worry this all took place before the UK went on full lockdown and we made sure to follow the NHS guidelines and wore masks at all times.)

Currently the featured character was Gudetama the lazy egg, the previous being Pusheen the cat.

I had never heard of Gudetama before this, and honestly they have completely stolen my heart. I hope they know that I would die for them and their cute butt.

As well as being the cutest cafe ever, the food was incredible. The menu was quite small, but I decided to go for a vegan hotdog. I had never had one before and it was amazing. 😘 I also got some free coasters which were adorable.

I could have spent all of my money at the boutique but I restrained myself and got a few special items to treasure.

However, it turns out there is one more Artbox location in England. It is in Convent Gardens, London. Coincidentally, I will be travelling there in a few months so I'm sure my Gudetama collection will grow. I'm sure my cat would love that.

Ah yes. That famous ship. The Titamic. Nothing bad happened to it and I'm sure all those people will be fine.

Puzzlette watching the Titamic leave with glee. She knows what will happen and can't hide her bloodlust anymore.

Look at this nerd. Not only did he go to a museum to look at a statue, he's taking notes as well! What a nerd.

Another nerd! He is really deep in thought. He's probably planning to write a paper or something. Boring. The man beside him is not impressed.

Now this isn't a nerd! It's our lord and saviour Sammy Thunder! Unfortunately, he's been a little squashed and is in visible pain. Look at his tiny arms!

They are in Japanese so it may be easier to search for レイトン教授のナゾ迷路 or Layton Kyouju no Nazo Meiro

I bought mine from eBay, so and the seller still has a few for sale. Book 1 Book 2 Book 3

I also recommend checking out Amazon.jp, Mercari and Yahoo Auctions as I occasionally see the books there.

Some websites don't do shipping to other countries, but I use services like White rabbit express to buy and ship the items to me.
