Happy Birthday Dad!! Today would have been his 64th Birthday. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of him. Scroll through to see the cutest videos of him gardening in his side yard. He was so proud of his garden and loved to grow all sorts of vegetables and berries. He had so much pride in his home and was always working on some house or yard project. He had such a tender heart and those who knew him loved him. Our custom art from @erindonahueticeart arrived and we are so in love! 💓 Erin is my dear friend and an incredible Austin based artist. This piece is extra special to @alecpeniche and me because it reflects the beautiful colors of nature we enjoyed on our honeymoon to the National Parks. Grand Canyon National Park was the last stop on our roadtrip! Alec and I hiked the #CapeFinalTrail (North Rim) which takes you through a forested ravine and ends at a narrow cliff 8,000 feet in the air!! 😲 It was exhilarating and SCARY to be that close to the edge of a cliff but we did it! We ended the day watching the sun set on the canyon with a much deserved bottle of wine! 🍷 Pictures do not do this place justice - the layers in the canyon stretch for miles and it’s hard to believe what you’re seeing! Arches National Park - stunning arches carved by thousands of years of wind, water, and ice. 🏜 Last photo: we stayed in an RV in Moab, Utah that was very similar to my Dad’s. We were there at the anniversary of his death (8/6/2019) and it felt great to honor him in this way. Jackson, you had me at hello! This was our first time visiting this cute town in the heart of Jackson Hole - layered with rich history of Native American tribes and mountain men. Delicious food, delightful shops and a perfect rest city for us. When planning for our trip, it was important for us to break up long days of hikes and activity with restful days in a cool city where we could feel at home.
