This is a piece for Poster Posse 2018 Women’s History Month. They invited several artist to portray women that embody the characteristics of strong, inspirational, fun, powerful women. Whether it’s through their character, actions or words, women that have made a difference and/or continue to make a difference.

I decided to pay tribute to Dian Fossey.

It’s titled “Living Legacy” in reference to the gorillas whose survival Dian struggled to ensure. It’s not exactly a portrait of the primatologist, but a tribute to her work, her courage and her life as something that goes beyond her temporal physical presence in this world. Because her legacy still beats and it’s our responsibility to make sure it stays that way.

This t-shirt design is the first of a series of pieces I have created as collaboration with the "Fan Solo Shot First" Star Wars fan party. I hope you like it and you wear it a lot ;-)

This is an alternative movie poster for Blade Runner 2049, the amazing film directed by Denis Villeneuve. The idea of this poster born a few hours after I watched the movie on October 7th, 2017. I made a couple of photo-sketches in black and white, to mostly work on the composition, but I never began to draw or paint it. Other (personal) issues claimed my attention and reduced my energies.

I left the idea of making a Blade Runner 2049 poster behind, untill Poster Spy challenged the artist community with this great Creative Brief.

For me, a movie poster (an official or an alternative one) is always about the soul of the film, of the story. I try to capture it, respecting the director’s vision, and to depict my view as consistently as possible. This is the result.

As always, this’ been painted digitally using a Wacon Intuos pro, with promotional pictures and concept art as reference, plus stock photos for textures.

UNIVERS-US Universus is the Latin word for universe. It’s a word composed of unus (one) and versus (rotated or converted). That is, one and everything that surrounds it. The word unus expresses an integral whole that does not admit division. Thus, universe means the point where everything joins and spins.

Commissioned poster for Triunfadores, a short film by Joseba Alfaro: “In the afterlife, a nice girl from Earth is willing to get a new personality for her next life cycle, one that truly works: really selfish and superficial. But she is still a looser, and getting that personality won’t be easy.”
