idk if this is a trope or whatever but i love it so much when fictional characters massively downplay the severity of their injuries but in more of a comedic way than a tragic one. like some guy gets impaled and they just glance down at the shard of metal sticking out of them and say some dumb bullshit like “oh man. that’s gonna need some ice.” and then pass out while all their friends yell at them for being an unfunny idiot with terrible priorities.
ICONIC ianthe moment is when harrow, who is freaking the everloving fuck out, wakes her up at 4am and to tell her she saw cytherea’s body dragging itself around the mithraeum and ianthe’s just like “ok cool story tell her i want my arm back” and slams the door in her face
assorted rymins… a little bit of everything
going through old files and found this unfinished comic i did april last year that id completely forgotten abt
if i had a nickel for every time the djungelskog has cucked someone's wife/girlfriend in the ikea australia customer reviews,

do u ever think about the fact that they're friends
From adnan_barq's Instagram story on November 6th, 2022:
He shows the viewer the automatic sentry turret and points out "I don't know if you guys are understanding this but this is a firearm turret. Like the one we saw in Squid Game or whatever. It'll shoot whatever you want, any kind of bullet. So they can save money on human labour. If there's anyone here they don't like, they spray him [with bullets]! Just like that! Only democracy in the Middle East."
Note that this Israeli turret and checkpoint are both on official, UN-recognized Palestinian territory. This is by all means a war crime.
OG prompts from here.
am working (when my brain lets me) on an thing, everyone knows it as the zombie au where ryan dies, is brought back and it's a bit of a character study and an exploration in gratitude for life and second chances
or so i claim! i could fuck it all up for all i know!
anyway there's some info in there and i probably edited it a tiny bit
once I tried to explain "little meow meow" to a friend and latter he's like "what was that thing you said? little boo boo kitty fuck"?
tfw you work at a clown themed food truck and your boss (who might be a real honest to god clown) gets smashed with a comically large hammer by the owner of a zombie themed food truck (who might be a real honest to god zombie) who, after presumably killing your boss, dips out back to the underworld, leaving you and the other food truck employees in stunned silence at the food truck convention you had to attend
The reason categorizing fanfiction by tropes works is because there's already an established setting, cast of characters, and theme in the original work, so when people write fanfics they're building sand castles in pre-existing beaches, but when you advertise your book as "sci-fi enemies to lovers where there's only one bed and also they're gay" it says nothing about what the premise is, who the characters are, or what the book is actually trying to say. That's not to say that books containing stuff like "sci-fi enemies to lovers where there's only one bed and also they're gay" can't be absolutely fantastic books, but if you only advertise by listing off tropes that are inherently cookie-cutter then you're implying (whether intentionally or not) that there's nothing interesting or memorable about the book besides smashing tropes together like you're playing with action figures.
tbf if a weird zombie-like guy running a monster-themed food truck paid me thousands of dollars per hour to dress up and occasionally attack another food truck, I’d probably go along with it without question too
So is this a fandom post or, like, something that happened in your town?
