obsessed with the futility of vengeance in dany's story. your family is murdered, you're exiled, your home is taken in every sense of the word, and you have just hatched three dragons so you *should* be more than capable of enacting some righteous vengeance. except your family's killers are all dead before you can ever get near them and the last one left is a one-handed broken thing with graying hair and ptsd. what the fuck are you supposed to do with that? kill him? he'd probably thank you. dany's family is a haunting him more than her. what can she do but tell him to let them go, that rhaegar is gone, his children are gone, let them go. what can she do but let them go herself.

Everyone can draw 6 kingdoms in asoiaf as poc and fans won't protest against it

But minute you draw canon poc kingdom (dorne ) as poc everyone all sudden say how it dosent make sense or not canon (even tho dorne isn't white kingdom )

if there's one thing that the entire ASOIAF fandom agrees on, it's that Rickon Stark will always be the tallest of his siblings. like, in every single fanart and fanfic where the Starks are all grown up and happy, tiny little Rickon always ends up being the tallest, even more than Robb or Jon, and I love that for him :)

His name is David James Cleary

He fired at least 13 shots, including one through the head of a man holding a white flag

Avatar

One of those shots was into the lower back of one Patrick Doherty. While he was already injured, and on the ground crawling away from L.Cpl Cleary.

The man he was shot in the head was Barney McGuigan. Who stepped over Doherty, waving a white flag, in an attempt to help the man.

In response to this, L.Cpl Cleary dropped to one knee, took aim, and shot Barney McGuigan directly in the head.

Cleary was not just an indiscriminate killer shooting at random. Descriptions of the day tend towards cold and mechanical adjectives.

Joining him that day to perpetuate the the Bloody Sunday Massacre were also:

Soldier N: Liuetenant John S. MacPhie

Soldier O: Sergeant Adrew Robb Welsh

Soldier E: Corporal Terry Hood

Soldier G: Private Alan Cook

Soldier H: Private K. Gallop

Soldier L: Private Lee

Soldier Q: Private Blakely

Soldier T: Private Ian McKay

Samwell Tarly is objectively the best character in ASoIaF. Genuinely tries to be a good person at every step of the journey, only member of the Night's Watch to even try to help a single one of Craster's daughters (Jon Snow could never), literally has the highest kill ratio of Others for any single man at the Wall, also a nerd. He even invented voter fraud.

Going along with the very obvious idea that the girls’ personalities match with their powers, I present to you the idea that Charlotte’s personality works with her having all three powers (including photos of her wearing each of the girls colors because we know how important their outfit colors are)

Rikki: Like Rikki (and thermokinesis users), Charlotte is stubborn, at times rude, and has a hard to control temper that especially gets out of hand when she’s angry and feels like she’s been spited.

Image

Emma: Like Emma (and other cryokinesis users), Charlotte is very smart, organized, and responsible. She keeps a diary of important dates, works as a tutor, is the one responsible for planning hers and Lewis’s dates, and is also, as the wiki describes Emma, very driven when it comes to things like dating Lewis and figuring out the mermaid secret.

Cleo: Like Cleo (and other hydrokinesis users), she’s a romantic, artistic, genuinely kindhearted, a bit shy, and has a jealous streak.

anyway that’s my thoughts for tonight

I'm a fan of every asoiaf female character actually. daenerys? she's my queen, literally the face of the saga! sansa? oh baby my baby my baby you're my baby say it to me!! arya? she WILL slay every name on that list! brienne?? god shes such a complex character i would let her crush me completely. asha? MY salt queen actually! catelyn? that's a MOTHER. cersei? unhinged woman, completely unserious, i adore her too much im afraid. yeah when i say EVERY asoiaf female character i mean ALL of them. you too, jon snow.

I think one of the reasons why the theory that Arya will go away at the end of the story because she’s too far gone to assimilate back into society is so unconvincing is because she literally spends the latest two books (AFFC and ADWD) doing that very thing! Like her training hasn’t been about her being a reclusive murderous hermit. She literally spends the two books talking to people, making friends, integrating into new cultures. She’s around people all the damn time! And even if we bring up her ACOK and ASOS arcs which were rather dark in nature, she’s still around people interacting with them, still being a part of society (even if she’s quite low on the totem pole in those books).

Arya is a character who feels so strongly and whose arc is often dictated by how she interacts with the people around her. So to take that away from her is not only a bad understanding of her character arc (not to be condescending or anything), but it’s also not very satisfying as far as character/narrative progression goes. Because if the narrative has proven so far that even in her darkest moments, Arya can laugh and love and be such a passionate member of society, how then does it make sense for her to go away and be on her own?? How does that make sense when AFFC and ADWD prove that she still loves being around people?

not to be a supernatural snob but i really do think you legally need to watch all 15 seasons to really get it. you need to experience the good the bad the mediocre the okay the mediocre the mediocre the surprisingly great the mediocre the horrible the mediocre and the gay angel to really understand the chokehold it has on this site

jon at the top of the wall, looking out into the night: oh gods. honour and duty against love. but what of free folk? are they not people too? do I not a duty to them, even if it goes against my duty as a watchman? may the gods strike me down for what I do. And what of my siblings? Do I not have a duty to them? But, aye, it is love that drives me away from my Honour™, and so may the gods strike me down for ever wanting what is not rightfully mine (having a family)

Everyone Else at the Wall: god i can't wait to eat this boar.
