I've been playing Etrian Odyssey 2 (the remaster) lately, and have been thinking that maybe, just maybe if I live log my progress, i might be motivated to actually play through it so I'm gonna start off with a party overview so anyone who wants to see knows what my party is about

there should be some kind of notif for when you post a take so bad that it makes someone pause and check your bio for an age

reblogging isn't enough. I need an impartial third party to go

This post made someone check to see whether you're 15 or 27 before reacting.

If you’ve not been up to date with Jake Paul’s “boxing” career, his opponents have been retired fossils, a basketball player with sub-par boxing skills, an MMA guy with a grappling skillset and the worst striking who had hip surgery 4 weeks prior to the match, opponents like that.

In other words, whatever, nothingburgers, zero credibility. So he finally challenged an actual active boxer, Tommy Fury. Tommy Fury is not a great boxer, he is very average, nothing noteworthy about him other than that he’s got good punch selection, and that he uses a pummeling style instead of knock-outs. Just a bog standard boxer.

Tommy ate him alive. Jake Paul likes to use the most common of the bread-winning knockout punches, the right overhand. It’s worked well against his previous nothingburger opponents. It did not work well at all against Tommy, and you can see it in his face after each attempt that he knows he is in deep shit.

I think the thing about Americans complaining about the suburbs is that we forget that having your own personal yard and a personal vehicle are both things that most people would rather have than not have, and were not created solely as part of a Machiavellian scheme designed to alienate people.

agreed, but to digress a bit: modern US suburbs are a weird sort of compromise where we tried to cater to people's desire to have a manorial estate, and like I can relate to that because I would like a manorial estate, sure! but ironically I think that because they sit halfway to that desire, because they're this awkward compromise that pretends to be an ideal, they actually lead to really raw tensions between neighbours over trivial shit in a way you're less likely to see in a dense area just because in a dense area people are already inured to "well what are you gonna do". in the suburbs people have these, like, icelandic saga feuds over where a tree is

I do love the phrase executive dysfunction bc the image it conjures is of a bunch of people wearing business suits around a long oval conference table  arguing with each other to the point where they’re getting into physical fights, but in the background there’s just a big empty whiteboard with a To Do list with one item on it and that item is “take shower”

my heart fell out while i was on a walk through the forest and it got covered in pine needles and then an osprey picked it up but she dropped it in the sea and the fish ate a hole straight through it before it was washed ashore and when i found it again chamomiles were growing in the cavity. i put it back inside of me and now the world seems stranger and more beautiful than ever

I’m torn between “great poetry” and “reblog to give OP antibiotics”

we should go back to that food pyramid that was like 'you should eat half a loaf of bread every day.' i was good at that one

eleven year old me on my third serving of spaghetti like 'I'm so fucking healthy right now'

Have y’all tried marrying people you like?
