Just a friendly reminder that Equality Texas has been doing a lot of work trying to fight back against anti-trans bills in Texas for years now and is a good organization to support if you want to help protect trans rights. If you're in Texas (especially anywhere near Austin where u may be able to participate in person) they are a very helpful resource for finding information about anti-trans bills, when the hearings for those bills take place so you can give testimony (and they also can help you with figuring out how to give a good testimony) or register your opinion against the bill, and organizing protests against these bills. They're not the only ones doing this work, but theyre the one I've worked with before and therefore can personally vouch for. If you're not in Texas you can give them some financial support, however I'd also strongly recommend looking into if there are any anti-trans bills currently proposed in your state to direct your energy there. Those in conservative states are particularly vulnerable and could use your help, but you can make the biggest difference where you live so if you've got shit to handle in your own state I would not blame you at all for prioritizing that instead. But whether it's at home or elsewhere do something. Anything. Not nothing.
