kiara in ooku: this whole operation is amateur at best and wasted potential at worst. the mastermind has set up the perfect den of sin and decadence where people can well and truly give into their worst impulses and give up all sense of self (to me) but instead the mastermind seems to be more focused on spoiling their victims entirely to the point where there isn’t even any point to making them drown in the palm of their hands. instead of slowly bringing people to the edge in making them abandon their morality they instead have everything handed to them at a moments notice, meaning that there’s no struggle and thus no point to any of this. dreams only have value as long as people strive for them but if dreams are so easily achievable then it ultimately renders them worthless, and there isn’t even any sort of conflict here that emerges from breaking someones view of reality and making them realize how utterly worthless they are. i bet i could do a better job here
