I was being cancelled because apparently it was classist to put feathers on dinosaurs.

Both dream me and irl me were very confused.

it might have been a dream, but feathered dinosaurs being linked to an ideology isn't that uncommon. Them being viewed as "leftist", "woke" or "gay" has occured several times.

I collect these examples.

I was at the movies tonight and a very interesting thing happened to me... I was in the bathroom before the movie and an older woman approached me. She asked how long I'd been using a cane, I told her almost 10 years. She paused and then said, “...was it hard?” (1/5)

Image 2:

...and I realized this woman was going through exactly what I went through 8 years ago. So I looked her in the eye and said “yeah. it was so hard. I face planted in a Walmart parking lot before I finally broke down and did it. But it was so worth it.” (2/5)

Image 3:

This woman is 75 and was absolutely terrified of starting to use a cane. So she looked at me, a young person, out and about with my cane, and had her realization. She told me she has severe vertigo, and that sometimes she can't stand up and it's terrifying... (3/5)

Image 4:

...but it's even more terrifying to admit that you need help. so we talked about that fear. we stood in the bathroom at the AMC and we talked about what it feels like to take a leap into vulnerability and the unknown. and I just want to remind anyone who needs to hear it (4/5)

Image 5:

it's okay to be afraid. it's natural not to want to admit to that vulnerability. but it's so worth it!! the freedom youn gain from using mobility aids is so worth it, whether you're 20 or 75. take the leap. (5/5)

Oh god I forgot how much of a mess the old Netherrack texture was.

Look at this! It's hideous! It looks like a wall-texture from a Capstone game!

Remember the old days of using the L on this texture to find north?

Surprisingly, no! I didn't know about that until now!

Well the original trick pre-dates the nether being added because cobble used to have the same texture but in grey.

In the future, children will think our ways are strange. "Why do old people always grow so much milkweed in their gardens?" they'll say. "Why do old people always write down when the first bees and butterflies show up? Why do old people hate lawn grass so much? Why do old people like to sit outside and watch bees?"

We will try to explain to them that when we were young, most people's yards were almost entirely short grass with barely any flowers at all, and it was so commonplace to spray poisons to kill insects and weeds that it was feared monarch butterflies and American bumblebees would soon go extinct. We will show them pictures of sidewalks, shops, and houses surrounded by empty grass without any flowers or vegetables and they will stare at them like we stared at pictures of grimy children working in coal mines

not joking I would kind of like to brutally murder whoever thought it was a good idea to take away clicking on a person’s name to see their reblog and make it borderline impossible to get to the original version of a post without spending ten minutes scrolling with ctrl f

Helpful tip:

If you have the post date option turned on you can click the date and it will take it to the original post like before. It's annoying, unintuitive, and harder to click but it should work on mobile or desktop

this is the most ridiculous possible workaround thank you SO much tumblr user suffusionofyellow for sharing

Oh my goodness. I had thought the feature was just being janky since it seemed to work 50% of the time.
