there isn’t a legitimate reason to miss you, but it’s sorta like that feeling you get when you drive past a place where the trees have recently been cleared. you notice the emptiness even though the trees were never there for you in particular to begin with. and you know eventually the clearing will become familiar again and, thus, easier to ignore. but i miss you anyway, even though you were never here for me in particular.

But the superbug is here, much faster than previously anticipated. On Wednesday the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced a cluster of gonorrhea infections that shows both decreased susceptibility to ceftriaxone and very high-level resistance to azithromycin. It’s the first time this superbug has been found in the U.S.
