Non-traditional Lent ideas for Catholics who already self-deny excessively:

- Give up negative self talk. Make an active effort to not self deprecate. If you do so internally, mentally list three things you love about yourself to counter it.

- Keep a gratitude journal. List five things you are grateful for every day.

- Keep a prayer journal. Write down prayers every day.

- Give up your old habits of disrespecting yourself. Make your bed in the morning. Hit the gym. Eat full, healthy meals. Do not ask “what can I do to complete myself?” Instead say “I am going to do things to treasure my self as I deserve.”

- Choose to learn more about the faith. Pick a saint and study them. Take steps to live in a more saintly way.

- Give up gossip. Commit to outwardly complimenting and venting to a journal or isolated, trustworthy individual who is not involved in the situation.

- Commit to thanking God every day for a piece of yourself that you are in love with.

Giving up your bed, or food, or social media is not the right sacrifice for everyone. Let Lent be constructive. Let Lent be personal.

Morning Routine: Season 4 [Dan x Amy Headcanons]

•oH mY gOd, they were SO hooking up during season 4

•(if you don’t believe this, THEN FIGHT ME)

•okay, so I suspect that they first sleep with each other after Amy’s whole meltdown in the parking lot.

•They quickly fall into a routine of fucking n going to sleep right after.

•Dan (who is known for kickin’ women out the next morning) surprisingly doesn’t mind Amy’s presence in the morning.

•Them falling to sleep on opposite ends of the bed but ultimately waking up with Amy in his arms with her hair draped over her face and Dan’s arm wrapped around her.

•Dan waking up earlier than Amy to check his emails and get their schedules together.

•Sometimes (oNlY sOmEtImEs) he likes to watch Amy’s sleeping face (‘she looks a lot more peaceful’ he often thinks to himself.)

•”You mind not being a fucking creep-and stop staring at my fucking face.”

•”That’s the sound I love to hear in the morning.”

•Dan reminding Amy of what they have planned in the morning-usually a few brunches and lunches with their clients.

•Ultimately Dan gets into the shower first (but he takes literal centuries in there) which causes Amy to ultimately join him.

•Which then leads to another round of hot, smutty sex.

•Dan walking around like the smug bastard he is after (having yet another round of ridiculously hot sex with Amy).

•”I might have to keep you around just a little bit longer..”

•”Over my dead fucking body”

•They both dress as they watch the news together in Dan’s bedroom.

•Amy will never (nEvEr) admit to this but she enjoys watching Dan dress for the day-she gets a few more minutes to eye him and his body.

•Amy always has Dan zip her skirt or dress up which allows him to let his hands roam her ass (she claims she hates it but, I doubt it)

•”You mind not groping me for more than five minutes?”

•”As long as it’s me sweetheart.” *CUE SEXY SMIRK*

•Dan brushing his teeth before Amy so he can go ahead and make their coffee (because lord knows they can’t survive without their coffee)

•Amy brushing her teeth as Dan makes their coffee (he knows Amy’s eXaCt order, by heart)

•Amy joining Dan to claim her cup of coffee when its prepared and they go over some info on whoever the hell they’re meeting with that specific day.

•Dan grabbing his car keys right after they’ve discussed and drunk their coffee and Amy having a small heart attack because she misplaced her purse.

•”Maybe if you’re shit wasn’t everywhere we wouldn’t have this problem every fucking day- have you checked the bedroom?”

•”Just because you act smug as fuck doesn’t mean you actually know anything asshat.”

•Dan rolling his eyes and going back to the bedroom to claim Amy’s purse (because it was there) and handing it to her with a smug look.

•”You’re right Ames, I just know all of the stuff that you don’t”

•Amy rolling her eyes so hard she practically has a fucking headache.

•It doesn’t matter how out of tune they can be, they can always fall back into this morning routine as if it’s been the routine all their lives.
